This was a piece I enjoyed working on thoroughly. I'm not in love with it and I hoped to have more time on it. There are many things I'd like to improve on it so I thought I'd post it as it was submitted. Right now I'm interested in what you guys have to say, particularly those of you who have experience in designing for games. I have limited professional experience in game concept work so have at it. please.
I like it, but I imo some of the poses on your concept sheet look more
engaging than the complete profile view you selected for your final piece,
Its beautifully rendered and I think the color harmonies are pleasing to eyes
but I'm not so sold on the pose.
I think it looks wonderful. Especialy the heat distortion under his feet. Nice effect that adds to the realism!
The thumbs and the model sheets look awesome too. Reminds me a bit of Bloodrayne (the style of weaponry) but you added your own twist to it and it came out great.

Anthriel - Yes, the background needs to be refined. Most who commented on the distortion effect didn't seem to be bothered my it so its refreshing to hear another point of view on this. Could you find the words to describe what bothers you about it? Is the distortion too sharp, too obvious an effect and not enough brush work mixed in?
I forgot to mention, this work was done for an inter forum competition known as Dominance Wars hosted by GameArtisans.org. Again, I'd be very interested on input related not only to execution but how well the criteria was met. Check the rules and let me know How well, or not so well I met the criteria;
