Great start, your vector work is quite nice, as is your animated .gif
You need some more work with shading though, i think the first thing you should try is not using gray/black for shadows. Take a peak at some of NoxIzMad's work and take a look at how he uses shadows, especially on his samurai. He doesn't add any black, but rather transitions from a yellow cream to a rose peach tone.
Studies for another character, The Gate Guardian, her name is Principia: Attachment 363860 3/4er view and front

The reason why it's semi-fish shaped is because the people in that world worship "Father Goldfish", it's their God, so they basically design a ot of their artifacts around fish/scale patterns.
Not the sharpest crayon in the tool shed are we? oh wait...

I am really liking your Hello Kitty Zombie (human form and "cartoon"). I really like communist noodle panda. On the hello kitty girl on the right, her right eye looks maybe just a bit strange, I'm not exactly sure why it does either, but that could just be me.
Great style here! The cell look really works on your stuff. Your rendering could use some attention on the more realistic works. Do lots and lots of studies to supplement the design work! And.... POST MOAR!
Iceman0xh - thank you! funny you're the second person to mention HTF to me... must be the gore/cute combo?
Obsidian Glynn - Glynn! thk you sweetie, I'll look into that eye, but in case you see this, do you mean her right or the viewers? heck I'll look into both anyways, I have to review the whole thing!
Arbu - haha I was nicknamed that by my friends, stands for my political preference, my hair color and my... monkey qualities? nah "Munkee" was just my WOW screen name a while back...
thk you for stopping by!
MarkWinters - will do, as I am def lacking in that area! Loomis books await me. thk you
Blaz - haha thanks!! I;m glad you like them! The game is being made, yes, it's a flashgame and I couldn't be more excited about it! the only thing I hate is having to animate everything, but I'm getting the hang of it! will do on the pencil drawings issue, you're absolutely right! Thank you!
Following Blue's advice, I did this speedpaint portrait of a friend, to see how i could replace the grey in the shadows on a face... plz rip it apart!
I have to agree with Blaz, it's the character designs that are really striking, here. You have some really entertaining and unique looking characters.
On your last image, I like the facial features a lot, I think the flesh tones however are lacking saturation and real color. Which is hard to capture if you're painting your friend who's sitting under a florescent light or something. But ultimately that's my main critique, add more hues, reds, oranges, greens, etc., to the face and also more depth of shading. Nice stuff! Also, thank you for critiquing my work.
