Ok lets see what i have now...its all from art crusade. Its Admar coldwinter(my character) fighting the Air leviathan beast using his magic axe

fun painting, I like your color choice. My crit would be that your serpent lacks atmospheric perspective on his tail as it recedes back. It should be losing definition and be getting lighter, at the moment it looks a lot like a horn sticking out of his head rather than a tail.

Shit I forgot all about the art crusades. Doh.
And YOU are going to be one heck of an artist if you keep this up.
But you don't want to become one heck of an artist. Who the hell would want that?
SURPASS THE GODS GREEK ARTIST! Obtain immortality...
Doing more, ever faster and better.
Telling you now what I need to tell myself: Plan your days. Your tasks, your assignments for university and whatever. Next to art you have other stuff to do.
If you manage to keep yourself out of trouble and out of stress, you can be much more productive.
I'm sure you're much better at this than I am, but put a little more effort in the things besides art and it will improve your well-being, which is inherently connected with your art!
Hope I'm not being overly vague with this, I'm just trying to say.. live your life to the fullest. Live passionately.

Well i know i dont post a lot recently but its just some personal non-art things i have to take care.Lol i think summer is the most productive season for me.Furthermore i recently try to do researches about different styles.I have to start some penciling again.
Btw all the crusade work was done entirely with mouse. No scaned image no nothing .
Now something i did to earn some experience in some things (not something important)

September 29th, 2008 #135
Forscience- The last one is not entirely digital as i scanned an image, but the whole rendering thing is done with mouse. But a lot of my works are entirely digital, like the art crusade painting
CM.-Well on good days when my mood is great for drawing i spent about 5-6 hours(or more, it depends), doing art in my sketchbook, and doing work in my pc.
In bad days even if i work 2 hours, i make low quality products .Mood is one of the moest important things.
-Well no i dont take my sketchbook everywhere.I used to have a mini book that i used to carry with me drawing seldom outside. Its not that i am thinking that much about how others see it but here in greece artists have a difficult time in all aspects.Lol not in the bathroom
Coinpurse-Thank you very much for your kind words .I will
I am sorry that i am not posting anything, is just that i am currently do work for a studio i am working freelance(non-paying) but ok i need to work to get the experience. And cause of the NDA i cant post
But i hope ill soon post something

I love your guy that is actually sad even though he looks like he is happy. The hard edges and hard shadow lines work perfectly, do more like this it is a perfect fit for your style.
October 4th, 2008 #144
Kostas, insane work on the Crusade piece, the "courage" of your character facing the giant monsters is really something cool, pretty epic piece. Would love to see you polish this one, if someday you get a tablet!
Your anatomy studies are always top notch, I love your lines.
You seen to be in a bad mod lately, well, it happens and I don't know the why but, I've wanted to tell you that I really dig your stuff, and the advices you left on my sketchbook really made a difference on the way I see art.
I've seen lilnebo advice, about a cheap tablet. And I must "reinforce" it... i've bough a very cheap one.
A genius 5.5x4 tablet, its extremely simple but it works amazingly well... I thought it would be hard to operate with it, since its "not a wacom" but its really easy to use, specially for "people like us" who have played around with the mouse for years.
So, I would advise you to look for it, if you don't have money (like me) for a wacom.
Anyway man, great stuff, keep working.

you speedpaint with a mouce? that's like well, something other
i like your characters, maybe you could render shadows more deep ( try to block out the shapes)

Lots more work, awesome. I think its good that even in an off mood, once you start to draw it usually picks up! The hardest part sometimes is putting pencil to paper, yes?
I have seen better figures in the past form you, though however they do sit in space nicely so don't feel bad.
The last color piece on the bridge if very nice for general attraction - I think you should work with it further in the future; possibly raise the bridge even higher than the halfway point, and keep your low horizon. Make the cliffs curve around in different directions as they go off in the distance. Some thoughts, maybe you will get inspired.
you really need that pressure sensitivity to give your strokes more life I will bug you about it till a tablet is in your hands!
October 4th, 2008 #147
Wow thank you really much guys.Every post adds to a motivation point.I just dont have only to schedule my work programm but also my girlfriend. You understand the needed time.
Even if i dont post daily this season, i keep drawing and i think i got something more about anatomy.
So i think i will soon post, and yes that damn tablet, i must take one, i am currently thinking of a small bamboo. Plz give me your opinions on this one.
October 4th, 2008 #148
M-mouse? Shit, unbelievable man.
Off-mood? I'd like to see you in your good-mood. Great pencil work, it's very nice.
Also, I have a small Bamboo Fun, and I'm very pleased with it, even if I've never tried any other tablets. :]
My only crit would be on one of your figures how the closest ankle/foot is sort of twisted funny in relation to the leg.
October 4th, 2008 #149
Damn i am sorry i dont post that ,much currently
My rating went to 3,80 and thats really cause my bad work .
Damn life.I have to keep up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
(i know about the wrong size and angle of the leg shalite and thnx for mentioning.
