    Thinking of putting this for the Newborn contest

    AsaB-Thank you very much for the encouragement !!!!

    Here what i did before sleep.The sketch was done in 5 minutes max, color took me 4 hours to finalize, because when i was in 60% of finishing , the programm crashed and i havent made a save, so i did the coloring again

    As i say i am thinking about putting it in the contest but i am not sure anyway.

    No ref and anatomy may seem a little off but i did it on purpose to depict something abnormal and in motion.
    Its been a long time since i stayed on a piece for so much

    sweet stuff...u have some issues with stuff getting way too dark tho...

    go into your levels [image>adjustments>levels] and slide the middle triangle a bit to the left, it'll make your values more readable.

    wow what a hot sketchbook!
    I love the design of the battlemaster its freaking awesome
    on that last painting, the one with the wip steps, i liked step 3 the most as the finished one is a bit too overexposed.

    Cool stuff man, I like this last update. Speed reffing sounds pretty cool I might have to give that a go. Watch your proportions though, sometimes your legs can seem a bit too short. Female faces look good, keep it up.

    Pyroclasm00-Thnx .Well sometimes i do the legs shorter because i want to give a more cartoony feel, but sometimes i do the false proportion, so you are right for some of them ,thnx for that, i have to train harder

    Now something i am working on, dont know how far i will take it cause i have to study.Its all no Ref and speed, at least i manage to reach my anatomy skill on a point which i can work faster.

    Ok here something fast, experimenting with textures (taken from photos on google).I actually hate this, i really do,
    I have to learn someway to do nice and effective textures myself, with custom brushes.

    Zou-Thank you very much mate !!! I made a brush with a little texture on it to put some grain and little traditional feel in the strokes.also some initial direction.

    Here something really quick.Dont mind the anatomy, i didnt even checked it.
    No ref,study on general quick color render and variation and experimenting.
    Maybe will seem that i didnt get anything from that, but i think i took something

    Awesome stuff as usual man!!
    Regarding post #635, Great design but I can't help but imagine that firing once and then falling over with the recoil. I just imagine something (is it meant to be a character or mech?) would need beefier legs to support those guns.

    #645 kinda reminds me of the art style of team fortress 2, but the nice realistic rendering on the fabric (sleeves etc) seems to clash with the almost cel-shaded nature of the face and armour, whilst the weapons seem somewhere in between. It may have been safer to stick to one of those styles. Though what could be cool is if you tried some colour passes, only with one cel-shaded and one highly rendered.

    #650, no crit here, though that may be a bit onorthodox for office wear .

    Great work on that abstract piece also and all those studies you've done in between. I'm quite tempted to do some of those myself now...

    Ok some more days of university exams and then i step back at the indie projects i am working on,and of course personal projects and studies!!!!
    Then i will have to work even harder to step to the next level

    Here something.At least i feel i can comfortable create various poses.These are all very fast and no ref(except the portrait of a friend i had on a photo on my cell phone(very small picture), of course i added my own things on this , i cant stand pure ref)

    I was bored in some time thats why i left some pieces unfinished and rushed.

    No ref as usual.I need to train more hard, that was just an experiment to see if i am able to connect some things i learned toghether.

    one thought: aren't getting too much with 'no ref'. Personaly, i think that when doing enviro , reference are welcome. what not pick some cave ref and paint from them.

    Well yes its not finished, i am bored and i dont think i have been up to a work for more than 6 hours max. I may have to try making something for days or so.

    I think its good but somehow when i draw using ref i feel bad.I want to be a full creator of my world.I kind of solving what Platon said about artists (copy the copy(not the exact term but you understand))

    But for the initial training and if you aim in the product and not the general knowledge, then i think its ok.
    I will do some trainings from ref, i will try , i just get bored easily.But i will do everything to step up so dont worry

    I Completely understand, and you don't have to use reference during creation. Do studies of the subject prior to the actual attempt to make art. You have to put stuff in your head before you can build something from the mind!

    Seek first to understand the subject. Then conquer the subject by throwing in everything you know from the mind without reference, making it your own.

    Keep a systematic approach to everything you attempt! Think it through beforehand, and you will help yourself tremendously.

    You're not just some wacky fuzzy artist, you're the one god that creates your worlds. And successful creation comes either with a thought out plan or eras of evolution. You simply haven't the time for the latter.
