    simmi's sketchbook

Hello people. My name is simmi and i am from Iceland. This is my first sketchbook. I aim to update it regularly. My English sucks!

My goal is to get better at drawing and painting. Learn anatomy and color theory. Comments and critiques would be great. Thank you!

    New images at the bottom!

Nei, annar samlandi! Flottar myndir hjá þér, þú hefur rosalega skemmtilegan stíl. Gas!-myndin er snilld!

But I should probably speak English so that the good people of CA will be able to understand.

As much as I like your cartoony stuff, I think your realism is something you should focus on. The self-portraits and life drawings show great potential. Keep up the good work, I hope you'll keep updating

AsaB: Nauh! annar íslendingur hérna æði! Yeah you are right. I need to focus more on realism more. I just went through a cartoon drawing phase

You've got nice work here, but I feel like the quality goes up and down in a strange way. You can do nice detail work but sometimes it's on top of shaky foundations. A lot of your human figures are flat and stiff, and their feet don't quite sit right on the ground plane.

that's all the same pose, and it's not a very exciting one. Mix it up. You have skills, but you could be even better

I love your creatures. Your detail work shines there and isn't held back by questionable anatomy so much. The graphic stuff is nice, and your cartoony stuff is fun and energetic.

the blue thing in the last post- the bottom could get some more design attention. it could be more interesting, and he couldn't really move much with those tiny appendages, could he?

I recently finished a comic project. 32 pages full color. I'm happy with how it came out considering the time i had to work on it.

You would make the likes of Egoraptor shit their pants if you knew how to animate in flash. Not to mention that your armor and ship designs also kick ass!
