Here is a 1 hour painting using a ref. The small image is obviously the ref used.

Another speedy from ref. This one of downtown fortworth. It's not exactly the same I know, but I don't really care either

About 2 hours, I don't like it much.

I am seeing alot of cool stuff here. I like that you are checking out the dvd's, they have helped me out immensely!

Keep studying from photo reference... From what I can see it is looking good however you are missing alot of the gradients and little indications of material that the photos have. Just keep doing them and your eye will become more trained. Keep it up!

Oh my god... Your environments are absolutely astonishing.... everything else is interesting as well, but your natural elements are most incredible. I'm so happy for having been exposed to such a fantastic sketchbook. Wow. Well done.

I really like your studies. All your values are very accurate. The last environment looks pretty cool too.

PerinGalitte - Clochette - Dan Valkar - dchan: Thanks guys I will keep doing some because they are really fun, but right now I need to pack before I leave the country for a month on vacation. I'm going to singapore and I leave in about 20 hours or so.

I'm scared of the flight... should be fun though, but it's going to take 20 hours!!!

wow your speed paints are very good
The Halo thing on the 1st page is awesome lol
Your eye paintings are pretty good, especially the second one.
My only suggestion would be to try doing paintings more defined/detailed. You clearly have the ability to do so and it would look awesome!

Ah, these most recent images are really good, man. I particularly dig the snowy one up top. I think the lighting on that was looks really legit. Keep it up!

staticpen- Thanks man, I am learning new stuff everyday!

Okay here is a oil painting I made trying to be Bob Ross... it's a "happy little mountain". I don't really like it, but it's my first go at an oil painting so whateva.

And here is a sketch I just did of some pics in the "constructive Anatomy" Book by Bridgman.

    Thanks for stopping by guys.

I leave for the airport in exactly 24 hours.... I'm getting nervous

Yeah! Bob Ross. Hahahaha. "Let's see what kind of bush lives here. Oh-there he is. He looks happy there." Aw, man. That guy is the best. Good job on the painting.
Bridgman's sketches are intense. His style is pretty funky-looking sometimes. But yeah, copying from those books is a huge help in learning the flow of the human body. Good stuff, man.

    Thanks Staticpen.

Here is my night stand next to my bed.

It took me 1 hour and 15 minutes give or take. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Let me know what you think.

You're definitely headed in the right direction. Mileage counts for a lot.

And don't worry about the flight to Singapore. There's plenty of crappy movies to see on the ride there ... along with plenty of time to draw. Also, be sure to try the 'chicken rice.' It's kinda like Singapore's signature dish sold pretty much everywhere.. and it's delicious.

Keep it up and have a good trip

Here is a 20 minute speedpaint of wall-e. It's sloppy, but then again it's a 20 minute speedpaint.

Those eye studies are looking great, but the last one is looking a little flat. Just mentioning it. Think spheres

    Great work, keep at it

hive_mind- Thanks for the crit though I'm not sure what you mean... It look very sphereish to me? Maybe I just haven't seen as many spheres as you, but I swear it looks like a sphere in my mind. Hmm anyway thanks a lot for stopping by.

thesadpencil- Thanks man I will keep on.
