You have an knack for composition and framing. Good sense of rhythm. Just watch the center of gravity. Keep up the good work.

You're definitely developing an awesome style here! I'm gonna have to try doing fashion studies now; they're working out really well for you. In comparison from your previous monsters and beast you have gotten very good. Keep it up! Why not enter a CHOW or two? Or have you already?

callouses on the fingers. If you don’t have any, you’re not drawing enough.

Hey there, thank you for stopping by my Sketchbook
I really like the fashion studies of the guys you did! One thing to watch out for though is that the guy on the far right looks like he is about to fall over, although I'm not quite sure why.
The "horrible" creature is actually really good! I see what you mean about going dark, but if you keep working at it, and watch how dark you are going while working I'm sure you could easily fix the problem!
Great sketchbook! Keep up the hard work

My57-thanks i still have so much to learn.

Quasi-almost-Thank you! i really dont know how my style is developing. I can kinda see it now i guess just with my characters though. Really just trying to let it come to me, and not force anything to much. Ive been kinda scared to enter the chows and what not to tell you the truth haha. I do need to break out of my shell though ill have to give them a try.

papervampire-Thanks for the support maybe ill go back to that monster see what i can do to it.

hala-Thanks but honestly my sketchbook is far from inspiring i have so much more to learn this is only the tip of the iceberg.

    walnut-Thanks buddy!

Konstruktion-Yeah the fashion studys are really fun to do. I need to stop being lazy and put them to use though.

Tom van der Linden-Thanks will do i need to study more haha!

`king-Thanks for droping by man! Yeah i used to just draw the pictures randomly when i was younger. now im steping back and reading every page trying to draw every thing in it to understand it more.

Spirit-Yeah the fashion studys sure are really fun to do. Also get to draw pretty people as well wish i could do fashion or something haha! Totally true about the tilting thing its my real fla i need to start studying weight distribution more. Thanks for pointing that out though somtimes im just blind and goes right through me without noticing. Thanks for droping by
    -------------------------------------------------------------

So im back from camping! It was the best camping trip ive ever been on. We camped in the no camp zone and got away with it. It was literally 20 feet away from the jemez hot springs. when we got there it was so crowded there it was non sence. Once it hit night time though everyone started to leave. We were to only ones in the hot springs on top of the mountain all night long. one of the most inspiring trips ive ever been on.

Heres my very very poor rendition of the hot springs about 30 or 40 minutes. gona work on it somemore no ref used. Thank you all for the comments its really making me work harder- till next time -Omerta

Hey Omert A thanks again for the crit and comment. Dood some solid stuff in here mate! I think for your hot springs paint, some ways to make it interesting or liven up the composition is by maybe making it a little more populated and by doing so u can create a depth of field by placing the figures in perspective. also the tall trees seem to be all alone, maybe some shorter ones that fade into the distance will also help to create more depth of field in the image.

As for artist blocks, sometimes it's just good to step away and do something else, and then when ur really missing it, it'll be like an explosion of goodness! Also sometimes don't try to push or force an image just play around with all the different shapes and abstractions, might see something you like, u never know....

    Keep the goodies coming brah!!

Impressive character work! I really love what you have in here. Your lines are beautiful, and you've inspired me to do some fashion studies! Also great bridgeman studies. I've never seen his books...but I'm gunna have to check em out cuz you make them look amazing.

I always find that when I don't like any of my work it is because my eye has improved. Which is a good thing. So celebrate!

Will be back to be inspired again later. =)

nice stuff going on, I like the composition and colours of the girl in the pool...
the last figure is cool, though the head seems too small - I think you may have a tendency toward drawing them a little on the small side?

    JailHouseRock2-Thanks man!

snootchy-Thanks yeah i just realized ive never really put my figures into a landscape before, and made it very hard for me to draw was a good challenge though. Took your advice and did some shape abstractions.

IndigoSummers-Thanks Indigo! You have some really cool characters yourself. Im glad i can inspire people to draw thats inspiring to me!

ditchman-Hey whats up ditchman! Yeah i think i do have a tendency to draw my heads small. the heads always been a problem for me and still is. i need to stop being lazy and do more head studies! Thanks for droping by man.

hala-Yeah art blocks do suck. Its not that im not drawing its just im not liking my drawings. As for the brushes im using a oil brush in photoshop i downloaded it ages ago think from the photoshop thread. Thanks for the support!

    ---------------------------------------------------------
This started with me drawing a square and then it evolved into mechs i only like a couple of them. Ok back to studys my brain hurts!

yeah i know that feeling--it can be very frustrating, was feeling like that last week. it's just something that you gotta wait it out xx
anyway, I'm totally loving that green monster thing--got a lot of good tension going on--it's believable

About those vase studies: keep in mind that within perspective the top oval of a round object will be flatter than the bottom.

    Wonderful work here

Still life would need some work on perspective, but looks great
