I like your proportions on your alpha male body types. A lot of interesting chow entries and still life paintings.

Make a sketchbook happy, feed it a tip to improve!

    Hi Omerta,

Your last pieces are nice. I like that one with a girl and a creature.

I'm loving that last piece, some things I noticed though:

Watch out for tangents. I think you have one at the end of the sword and her hip/leg. It's one line. Rotating the arm a bit would fix that so the scabbard moves aside. Then it will also be easier to paint it .

I also think her head is too small. Your head is wide (back in space) but the features of the face are small.

I would also give the viewer some more space to breath. Maybe give them some foreground. Sky or some space at the right and left of the painting.

Hope this helps a bit !

You have great pieces here, just keep attention to the pure blacks in your shadows, shadows should be more saturate in color than lights. (I am not sure that is comprehensible, my english suck -_-)
    keep working!

alexson- Thanks alexson you have been putting in alot of hard work in your sketchbook aswell. I wana study how light interacts with everything!

Kungfoowiz-I did move on from that still life all the perspective and forms where so wonky and off. Will work on my brush work instead of rendering so much. Thanks for the crits man its always appreciated.

teapo-Mike! thanks man yeah been so busy try to get a balance with everything. Muddy colors man colors are a whole new world still for me X3
Maybe doing more oil painting will help out the understanding of how color works.

Black Spot-ah yeah I did give up on the still life haha. Started a new bust study thats going horribly wrong. Looking back I should have kept with that still life! Thanks for stopping by

ThomasM-haha fersher it is annoying at times. Sometimes when I look at something for a really long time I start to over see whats actually wrong in the painting XD Thanks for dropping by man

Vritra-Thanks will keep trying to study how light and color interacts with stuff. Still such a trip for me lol will keep at it though. Warm and cool play ah! need to do more of that aswell.

Elz-Thanks you ^^ and no problem its cool seeing all the art on here sketchbook esspecially.

AubreyOwley-No problem! haha anytime but ah still get frustrated with style not sure where im going at times. Just been trying to get as much into the world of these characters as possible. Thanks for stopping by

Jager-no problem man thanks for dropping by here Jager

batcustard-dang bat custard thats an awsome name man! haha but yeah still trying to keep this sketchbook alive! The journey isnt over

Pigeonkill-thanks man but there actually for the teen challenge. To be honest havnt done 1 chow yet O.o once this challenge is over will have to see whats up there seen some eye popping topics

Luk999-Thank you Luke! so much stuff off with that dragon hunter peice looking back at it. renderd it way to much i think XD perspective makes no sence either.

Hyptosis-Thanks dude! Will try and keep at it thanks for the encourgment

Lyno-Sup Lyno thanks for the crit man. Yeah tangents theres so many in all my paintings haha XD Alot of stuff is so wonky. Will keep that in mind if I go back to that painting. will have to see what you have been up to man

LM.-yup tottaly understood ya LM. been trying to make sure my shadows are more saturated. Really should see if my monitor is calibrated its probly so off haha XD thanks for stopping by man always appriciated

    Mr.Thorne-Danks Thorne!

JoeS-Sargent is such a trip to me O.O his works are just amazing so much life but there so loose! ah could go on so much about that guy. But aye! Wonderful update bro! Love it, the master study is superb, and that TC is epic! Your best yet I'd say!
Colour studies are sweet as too, nice strokes But I'd still say to watch your edges, even if its a study

Keep it up Jamie, your leveling up like anything!

So gona try and do a daily study from photos, life and some old masters. Been getting really burned out working on longer renderd studies and need some refreshment!

heres a photo study for today. Recently been into working on 1 layer on studies. Also trying to make sure the painting reads as a thumbnail is what ive been interested in.

more studies! these ones i really enjoyed kinda felt more going with the flow. I'm really trying to capture as much information with as little strokes as possible.
Some studies i do feel so lifeless and eh when i paint them

~Richard Schmid study. Man cant even get close to what hes able to do with paint. I'm really suprised how flowy and fast this study was dont get that to often where it feels like that.

~Photo study of one of my favorite artists Frank Frazetta. Rest in peace Frank! Hope your living the worlds you dreamed and created up there.

By the way I started a live stream

you can see both of these studies and hear my random music XD
for the Richard Schimid study once I write BRB just skip to the next video cause i dont come back to fast haha

tintaymanchas- hey no problem Rockee and I will keep an eye out for your updates thanks for droppin by man

Parsakoira-haha thanks dude! lol though it feels like im going in alot of circles all the time. Need to focus more! Been killin it in your sketchbook man

Quigleyer-Yeah trying to work on my brush work. I want to kinda want to have like an abstract realistic style but im failing horribly at it X3 I either render stuff to much out or keep it to loose. Need to find a good balence of both. thanks for stopping by

BAMeyer-Thanks man I had a good time working on it. Though its pretty cliche like the knight is eh a design thats been used a million times. O well hope my voice in my art starts to come out I donno though. So much stuff goes into art ahh its mind bogling lol.

Unlink40-Thanks you have a great sketchbook going yourself man. I'll have to bust out the old water colors and do some more stuff

1986-dang cool name man haha didnt know you could have a name with all numbers O.o but thanks dude means alot.

    --------------------------------------------------------------
~Sargent study today not very pleased though. If Sargent saw this he would punch me in the face for butchering it so much X3. His colors and brush work always trip me out.
