Nice nice works going on!!!
I love the ingres study
The head sculpture may need a little more contrast push and some more usage of edges, like you have done in the shadow of the nose.
Lovely landscape studies
I like the LTS and i think u can push it more to test what it may need to improve it in overall
keep up the good work jamie!!!

Last teen standing: Prehistoric meets future
the story thats been playin in my head while ive been wokring on this painting
As the Earth’s minerals deplete and its resources dwindle, man begins to search for new ways to find energy sources to sustain life. Scientists create a warp gate that bends time, then they send trained specialists back to prehistoric times to try and find a way to bring back anything of use. Horrible creatures attack the first team sent through the gate, and the team’s leader shuts it down to save his people from these monsters, trapping what was left of his team back in time. After escaping the horde of monsters, they begin investigating caverns for mineral deposits. There they witness things that were previously unknown to their generation, and they soon come to a harsh realization. These are not just caverns... these are the homes of the vicious prehistoric creatures- violent brutes devoid of any rational thought. One by one, members of the team are picked off until only one man is left. With only 3 shots left and no other ammunition, he knows his struggle is futile, but he still clings to the hope that he will prevail and save his people.
my process did a still life of the gas mask becuse i wasnt understanding how light works for hemlets.

hey man hows it going? your killing it. love this last one, except only one thing bothers me the seen is so epic and yet that gun is tiny, like it makes me think is this guy serious he thinks he can take on this gnarly alien dude with a tiny little gun. maybe its the whole men in black thing but i can't tell. i'd just get the lasso tool out and make it a bit bigger, maybe tweak the perspective a bit unless the gun is leading the target which is cool, maybe some kind of hint at the gun charging like some glowing from that blue bit in the gun you know like its about to drop those alien scum hahaha
just a few things to maybe make this pic totally awesome, rather than just awesome

Stupid of me I didn't checked back earlier. The last one looks really really cool . The wooden stick(?) from the weapon of the charging enemy is slightly bend. I also follow matty about the weapon comment, I think a bigger version would make more impact.
Cheers mate !

Hey bro.. sorry I missed your last update, didn't think you would be posting regularly again.. serious bad on my part..
Gas mask still life is interesting, these are some really unique challenges you're putting for yourself.
One thing bro, you don't have to travel the world to do plein air study.. paint even the simple things from life. I know I'm speaking rich, but I stopped my still lifes because I feel the drawing needs to be improved first and before back onto the stills again.

Nice posts since last time I stopped by - I like the amount of preparation that went into the piece and how you demonstrated it. I think I should be training myself to work like that in future so its a good reminder for us beginners!

Fantastic update! For your still if you're getting bored, yip, maybe it's time to move on, but try not to blend too much, I think that makes it a bit on the muddy side, try to see more of the colours, also keep in mind your saturations.
You may want to work some colour variation into the lady knight, at the moment the colours feel too limited for skin, you have just a shadow and light colours on there. But it's looking really nice.
Good luck with your next study bro.

oooo... you've been busy jamie :3 I dig your color palette for the teen challenge and your brush economy is getting better just by looking at that sarge study :3
anyways, always helpful to see your process !

the teen challenge dragon hunter is great - really like the clothing design too. Its annoying when you start a still life then get annoyed after a long time spent on it. I often feel like that myself.
