    John Berkey has been a favorite of mine since before I even knew who he was. His cover of "Our Universe" captivated me beyond words as a child.
    One of my all time favorite books. I used to stare at that thing for hours at my grandparents house.

    Check out the books "Painted Space" and "The Art of John Berkey." Painted Space has short paragraphs written by him about each painting, mostly his great spaceship designs. There's more art and info in the other one.

    loved his work...

    i remember getting some big book that was an atlas to space, it had his work on the cover i believe and really fueled a ton of my youth's imagination.
