Exclamation IMPORTANT:Spam, Spam, Thread Titles and Spam

You may not have noticed, but we've been dealing with a deluge of spam the last few days, lots of it particularly nasty pornspam. The reason you hopefully haven't noticed is because we try to stay on top of things and delete stuff soon after it shows up. I know people sometimes like to get creative with thread titles, but if you keep them as descriptive and as, well, non-spammy as possible, that makes things much easier.

Yeah, I noticed that a bit. And as you said, you all are pretty quick at cleaning it up. A key similarity I've noticed are lots of letters with áççèñts. So ah... I'd presume it'd be wise not to do that. At least when not appropriate.

For the amount of time they have to spending posting all those links in all those threads, do they really expect even ONE person to click through? Seems like the jokes on them.

Yeah, I try to flag them whenever I see them... Just a question, but, is that helpful at all? Or should I just not bother and assume it'll be found?

For those of you who don't know, you can report spam by clicking on the exclamation point icon at the top of the post. And please, if you see any, report it. The more pairs of eyes we have, the less likely any is to slip through the cracks. This is especially important for messages that are left as replies, because a mod is much less likely to see those than a new thread.
