This was done for a local independent film maker - it is a spoof of the 1980 Italian Horror Classic by Antonello Giallo's called ISLE of the DAMNED this movie deals with Canabilism
This is a full size movie poster - an acrylic on canvas painting - this is a photo not a scaned picture and at the botton there is a little glair
On my art website I will be posting some close-up detail shots

Too small for me to crit, really, but from what I see the colors are unintentionally garish and the composition rather plain.
The color lay-out is what the film maker wanted - I would have done a much darker image considering the subject matter but I think because it was a spoof of the orginal film he wanted the brighter color scheam
as a movie poster i would not be interested at all to see that movie

I gave the movie maker exactly what he wanted and he was please and he paid $2,000 for it so I am happy - I don't know why it was move to the C&C fourm I did not post it there
Congrats on a well-paid gig It might be the size, but the piece looks unfinished due to the way the colors and composition appear, which is probably why it ended up in this forum.
My part is finished - the large blue area will have text in it and there will be a red burst in the lower right corner with text in it then there will be a black box around it with a red box around that with another black box around with the bottom much larger than the other 3 side for more text
As to why your piece was moved here, allow me to link you to this informative thread:
I want to thank thoses who made comments

Oh hey! there is a larger version of the finished poster on the page of the link. It actually looks pretty neat with the text and the dirt.
The art would be awful for a modern horror movie but just as the movie appears to be an homage to Troma type horror movies of the eighties this art does a brilliant job of capturing that particular style. If I did not know better I would never doubt that it was a movie poster from the eighties.

i have to say initially i thought the poster was awful, but it kind of works for the film.
