Awesome stuff dude! Still love looking at the progress you've made since post 1. It's pretty incredible!
Those spitpaints are great, so many people post in that thread that I never saw them there sadly! looks like lasso tool helped you out a bit there, gotta love that lasso tool haha.
I love the Oni image you did, I didn't get a chance to check out that CHoW but I hope you won with that, it's damn cool.
Thanks for sharing man.
Alexanderjr: Thanks a lot man! Yeah, the lasso tool is a life saver. Haven't posted more than one on the facebook page actually, so no wonder you haven't seen them, haha. Yuzero: Thanks! Veshkau: Thanks man, really glad you like them!
I like the pencilsketches. Tasty stuff! the ChoW is also comnig along nicely. I'm afraid I can't really offer anything crit-wise. Your process is very different from mine and it feels like its in its early stage so I can't comment on it. The proportions look good and I like the strong pose. I also like that she's properly armored and wearing MMO armor. Keep it up!
DefiledVisions: Thanks! This was a new approach for me as well in a way. Most of it was done with 100% opacity hard round brush, and just using a few different colors/values to get form quickly. Worked pretty good while I was doing it, but I think I'll need a lot more knowledge of value and color to do the whole piece like that.
Here's a poster for a competition at school. I'm really hoping I win, cause I need the money, haha.
Axelga2112: Thanks! Yeah, I've thought about it, and I think I might do it if I get a chance to do a revision of the piece. The deadline was before I posted, but thanks for the crits! It's for the Master of Architecture exhibit at NTNU in January. DStraX: Thanks! Haha, yeah, I've been abusing it, still trying to figure out how to do it in a practical way where it doesn't just look like I'm going for the lasso tool look. Thanks for the pointers, and the link!
Got myself some actual fineliners, and it's a lot of fun! Really forces you to be deliberate with the lines you're putting on the paper. It's a mix of studies and other stuff, probably obvious which is which. :p The last pic is todays spitpaint.
palladium: Thank you very much! Tyn: Thanks! I just used google and flickr, with words like viking armor and stuff. There are probably better resources out there. (:
Haven't posted for a while, sorry about that! Didn't do a lot of work before or during Christmas due to finals taking all my energy. But January has been good, so I've probably done somewhere between 50 and 100 sb pages in various sketchbooks. Because I did produce so many (for me at least), I figured I could share some.
Anyways, I'm gonna try being more active on the forums again. Enjoy!
