Art is the best form of anger and stress management.

The shirtless mohawk guy on your last post on page 9 is awesome!
    Keep practicing!

    Check out my sketchbook.

AHAH CONGRATS ON TEN PAGES I'm still on 2 lol

;n; No I can't easily tell you haven't used a ref. Your work is so loose and still very precise- great contour. Wish I could pick up figures like that, haha. *pulls out notes again*

    felt like drawing a mermaid.
might develop her a little more, maybe even an illustration. *__* gah i grow attached to almost every character i make up. *__*

can't help but feel the design's bland, though. >__>

Thanks for coming by my sb! Studies are incoming soon!

I think your recent painting has a lot of personality too it. I see a lot of things. I think the weakest point is the background. Bringing out the white in the graphical element might make it punch more... could be the photo too.

    P.S.

You're getting super with everyday! I was way surprised you had 10 pages of sb goodness.

    thanks.
i think i'll just do that one painting over again.
    it was like.
    spur of the moment pfffrt

    anyways.
    really felt like working big.
and with chalky things. quickish. longest would be 15-20 minutes of work.
it's too windy outside for me to apply fixative to anything, so everything smudged FUCK.
    yeah.
my first 20 minute life drawings! ^____________^
things to work on: HEAD-BODY PROPORTION WTF
less contour, more definition with light [if that makes sense.]

i'll scan the ol sketchbook later. full of scrawly studies anyway.
THERE IS SO MUCH TO LEARN IN THE ANATOMY DEPARTMENT ORZ

Hello there Bapsi, I like how your art is coming along.
I like the drawings from your figure drawing class, they look very good!
Keep up the effort, and good work!
I don't really have any critiques at the moment, since I am still garbage, so just perservere and you can become nothing but better!

just wanted to make her shine a little bit. i wish the scanner didn't warp the right arm so much, but she's very close to the spine, so i can't do much. \:

now that i get back to posemaniacs, well
it's nothing like the real thing
    also.
a tiny tablet just doesn't allow any flowing arm movements that a clipboard propped at your knees can.

i had to stop. such bad eye fatigue.

can't wait til tomorrow's figure drawing class. evern if morgan won't be there.

you have a great deal of vigor in your work... tends to the messy, but then so do I especially in a hurry.
the pose, quick gesture really do help

one thing I notice about your facial proportions , you pretty consistantly put the eyes too large and too high on the skull
keep plugging away, the progress is visiable

To see the world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wildflower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour.

    Hahahahahaha!

Seriously, though, I like your life drawings. More of those. It seems your biggest problem right now is patience. That's mine as well. I just want to start a drawing, and have it finished a second later. What both of us have to realize is that we can't just expect our ideas to appear on the paper, we need to put it there, and for that we need paaaatieeenccee..... Taking things sloooow... I know, I hate it. But I try. You should try harder. Keep up the frequent posting!

    thank you so much. :]
what i'm doing now is spending less time with my face in a sketchbook and more time with my face in front of a canvas or board, trying to make finished pieces.
I expect them to look meh at first, but they'll get a lot better once I realize again what all it takes to really finish a piece.
the main thing for anything like that to be done is patience, like you said.
    again, thanks.

OH GOD SORRY FOR THE BAD CELLPHONE PHOTO I COULDN'T TAKE IT HOME DAMN SLOW DRY SPEED
my teacher told me too many colors will be frustrating the first few times around, so he gave me four colors to work with. ochre, ultramarine, some purple, and i think sienna or something. i snuck cad yellow in. >___>
we had no model, our other teacher sat around and posed for us. lmao she HATES posing. HATES it. xD
    blaah
next time i'll be more ambitious and actually give it a BODY.
    just a floating head orz

OH AND. it's 11x14 canvas board.
she wants me to bring in something much bigger next week SO I WILL YAY

    oh right
and here's a closeup-ish of this lifeless looking default pose guy.
started out as a usual safety head drawing
decided to challenge myself and add a body to it

my goal for this one is to tone it down on the harsh outlines [legs still in the process of being "de-lined". lol
and make the legs actually proportionate to the rest of the body
everyone who's looked at my sketchbook totally got on my case on that one so IT MUST BE A BIG PROBLEM OH GOD

lemme know if they're STILL TOO LONG i'll fix them
    also
is he off balance? a little tilted?
i've flipped this thing horizontally so many times.
    what's off?

    edit:lmao
i should work on stroke economy with this thing too orz orz orz
