    Thanks Cydonix!

So, I got a little further on this one. Think it turns out to be a bit boring...

Great work, man, all of it... I especially like that girl with the flowers. So cute But her hat seems to be a little flat... And still it's very very good

    diver (finished)

Thanks a_a! Yeah, you're right about the hat :/ I'm glad you like the picture anyway

Heres the finished version of the diving picture. I think it's a little less boring now.

    Fernissage - the day after...

These are my first acrylics in a few years.
Phew, I've got a LOT of respect for traditional painters after making these. Making the right colour is a challenge, but finding it again later is really hard!
I'm not extremely satisfied with either of these two, but I had to produce them in a hurry.
They're now hanging in a gallery in Copenhagen, with 4 of my digital paintings as well.
The fernissage was yesterday, and it was my first. Wow, what an experience that was! It's so awesome when you're used to seeing your digital pictures on the internet, and all of a sudden they're hanging in a real life gallery, printed out in huge formats and framed. They look ten times better that way!
    Everyone should try that

    Just playing around...
This concept shows some kind of sprites who live on the beach. And this is their fighting gear.

The stitches on the sprites limbs tears most of the innocence out of the picture but its still charming. Congratulations on your success at the gallery I am jealous last acrylic is nice
On the painting of the girl with the flowers, her eyes are too high on the head and thats why her nose looks to long, but ya it is still very nice keep it up man and stop by sometime

    Self portrait

    This is a self portrait.
I messed it up from the beginning by making it too light. I tried to adjust it, but well, it's not perfect.
I looked in a mirror when I painted this, so I don't have a reference photo you can see.
It looks like me though, so that's always something

Jedininja: Thanks man! Haha, yeah, I've been told that the last pic looks creepy. Maybe you're right about the stitches, but I didn't have any intentions on creepiness when I made it.

About the painting with the flowers, I guess you're right. I placed the eyes even higher to begin with. It's good that I'm finally aware that I tend to do that, so thanks for pointing it out!

I don't think it has enough contrast, but I have to go to bed now, so it's 'done'. Also I try to keep drawings like this under 2 hours. I generally use too much time on my sketches.

Your figures look a little stiff. I'd like to see what happen if you would concentrate more in foundational drawing. It seems like you do just a few works but that you put lot of effort in them. It would be nice to see you work in the opposite direction, just drawing simpler sketches and getting better at it.
Anyway, It's just what I thought.

Thanks Lennon! You're right. I'm just having a hard time admitting to myself that it's a problem that I always end up using too much time on too few drawings.

Here are some more sketchier drawings. The right one was a 90 sec pose from posemaniacs.com. The other one is obviously derived from that. There are probably quite a few flaws...

    Just practicing facial expressions...
    No ref.

I think the tears should pour from the middle of her eyes instead of that close to the nose.
