    Book of Sketches

Hoping to get some advice that will help me out. I use mainly graphite and charcoal, as I am partially color blind and I don't like having to puzzle out which color I am using. Perhaps when I get better at drawing I will make that leap...

Something I drew today, it started as a fly, but after about 30 seconds it became a robot. Inspired by the Myr of Magic the Gathering. Not sure if it's good or not...

Some more stuff, dragon I did one day (for want of a more original subject) and a revision of the Myr. Thinking of working on a background now...

My first attempted self portrait. Yes, I know that I look like a serial killer, it's quite unfortunate. This is pretty rough...very rough actually, but as a first attempt I think it's OK. Hopefully I can improve through practice.

    Nice drawings and attempts
If you keep at it everyday you'll improve alot.
About your value don't be afraid to make the pencil marks very dark and very light, even go completely black.
Just use a wide range of value.
Also draw from life.... alot, best excersise ever
and do some anatomy studies, and portraits
    Keep at it
