    Ballroom dance project.

Well A freind of mine is looking for a specific look in her gown. She is a tall redhead and is looking for a dress that might be along the lines of Poison Ivy. Does anybody have any drawings? Me, I'm a mechanical dweeb so its a no-go for me....

    got a seamstress?
I might be interested in designing such a project but I have no timne to actually drape it.. I do normally get paid for it but a tall red head is hard to resist. would need pics of said "tall red head" to design for.

The Seamstress is actually a custom dress designer. The dress is actually a ballroom gown (BIG $$$$). As for anything else... easy there, she's Mormon as well well being married.... Here are a few pictures of her with her old dance partner. .

Naa, not encroaching at all. The dress designer just doesn't do that much avant guarde styling. When I mentioned poison ivy.. they uhh said.. "what's that?" :slaps head: -Doh-

As mentioned, there styling is usually "ballroom" oriented, so they have a certain mindset.... Getting them to breakout is a HUGE ordeal and they usually won't do it. Giving them a design, well that's something else.

well a certain amount of movement and and swirl is nessisary for a ball room dancing dress, and the upper body detailing would need to be on Souffle so as to hold it all together. Being Mormon , I assume a certain level of modesty is nessisary. (poison ivy was far from modest)

Yes and no, being in ballroom dance you get alot of latin/rythem dancers who wear very, very minimal outfits. She's no stranger to wearing minimal things....
Here's a picture of me and her doing a show routine... she's wearing black and white stockings, a black bustier and white tutu. We are in front of about 500ish people....
(sorry about the picture, it was a camera phone...)
