    T'Las Serra Dominance War 3 entry

    My entry for dominancewar3

    Character description:
    Name= T'Las Serra
    Race = Mutant
    Class = Warlord
    Magical Energy = Light

    the storyline:
    The Western continent is a dark wasteland which still suffers greatly from the impact of the Weapon. But in a small community in this desolate place one of the most powerful warriors was born. T'Las Serra grew up to become vastly powerful but her life started in misery. Many of the children of the West are born mutated by the remaining forces of the Weapon's impact, these grotesque creatures barely resemble humans and often die young and abandoned. The Tribes offer the surviving mutants as mercenaries to the armies, in return they get valuable resources to assure their survival. T'Las Serra was one of these mutilated children as she is born with an odd serpentine tail on her back. But after years of constant struggle in the armies she proved her might by surviving the strife and became a famous representative of her kin.
    In the Ashlands of the West nothing is wasted, not even the dead. When one dies the corpse is revived in terrifying way. Life energy is forced through the veins and an undead servant is created. Most high ranking warriors who die in foreign countries are returned to their homes in a preserved state and mummified to serve as guides and council for their younger kin. Sometimes, the mightiest of the warriors are able to earn boons, given to them by the Ancients - the great chieftains of the tribes of the West. And sometimes these boons lead to an early death...
    T'Las was able to prove herself in many battles, earning honor and fame throughout the West. Her might is well known and her knowledge in the art of war is respected by all. She came to fame after defeating the powerful Mercurial Wyrm a beast that bathes in the raw matter-energy unleashed by the Weapon. The Wyrm's power had been immense and it had claimed the souls and the bodies of many clan warriors, consuming their life energies and adding them to its own radiant pool of force. Each successive victim had made the Wyrm even more powerful. But T'Las managed to use the Wyrm's pride and bloodlust against it. After confronting and enraging the creature deep within it's domain she defended herself and slowly retreated. Once outside of the Wyrm's domain T'Las went on the offensive and eventually cut the Wyrm's head off and presented it to the Ancients as proof of her victory. As a boon for her deed the Ancient kings granted her a Graft a powerful artifact hidden deep within the treasure vaults for centuries uncounted. The Hand of D'Mor Regak the last of the Great Kings who brought down a Shard Colossus with his last breath. The wisdom and battle skill of the great Ancient remained within in the Graft. Fused into Serra's shoulder with a potent spell the Graft acted as part of her own body, serving her greatly in battle. But this great power came at a price the bound spirit of the Ancient King now rages inside the mind of Serra, slowly consuming her soul. It is only a matter of time before she will succumb and becomes a mindless slave to D'Mor Regak's will.

    As the Machines emerge from the depths of the Earth, T'Las Serra is summoned to oppose their vast numbers in what is believed to be the last battle Ragnorath.

    Great character designs. First painting is particularly impressive, especially composition-wise.

    This is one hell of a beauty. I really digg the colours and the shine in the armour, and I like how the dawn/dusk reflects on it.

    Great piece man! I am looking forward seeing more from you.

    Amazing concepts and great idea development. Same technique that I use at work when designing characters. Nevertheless I think the final image has too much negative space on the right hand side. The top right corner just feels too empty. Otherwise top notch work!

    Keep on going!
