Why are you named what your named?
I thought it might be interesting to see why people named themselves what they are. Is there any particular reason you are named what you are? did you just name yourself something random at the time? is there any meaning behind it?
Mine personally is that i started going to art school and decided to chase an art career as a concept artist, found out that i was really passionate about my field, and was going to name myself Wes.W (my real life name) but that was taken so i tried a few other names and settled on artzealot.
At the time i was getting really into the whole digital art scene i never knew existed. i had just found conceptart.org, just bought the skillful huntsman book and realised how much kick ass video game art was out there, and wanted to become really really good. So that's where artzealot comes from, i had artistic zeal at the time i joined conceptart.org (still do) and thats where the name comes from.

Just use the old one, it's less annoying.
EDIT: Oh wait, that link leads to the second one I've seen. So is this the 13,442,006th thread on this? I wish I was around since the dawn of CA.

Threads die out, or just get buried in the avalanche of new I NEED A NEW COMPUTAAAH and 'hey is my title interesting, or what? posts, let the thread live! ... just refer back to the first thread if you want to know about my name

My name's just short for my real name. People accuse me of ripping it off Final Fantasy but whatever.

Rhynome, ah, yes.
The amount of times people have thought it's a pokemon. Anyway, I like fiddly bits in English, and one of the most fiddly words is Rhyme, I just like the way it looks. However, I couldn't call myself Rhyme as I'd probably get sued by 'Marvel' for copyright of some obscure comic book villain The Rhymer!; oh, and it'd be silly.
So in my head I went through a few sounds, you know... the sort of thing you do when you're trying to find a word you can't quit remember, and placed them at different places in the word:
no... Rhynome... aaah.
And there we have it.

Point taken, threads do die.

Well then, let's continue, shall we?
Me = Jessica (Jessi for short)
To be full of beans = stubborn ass
Also... When being punished at a small age, I stamped my food a refused said punishment because "I a human being!" and "being" came out "bean." I got out of it for humor factor, and ever after... JessiBean.

Well, I really liked the name of the weapons in Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (the first one on PS1).. a set of axes called Havoc & Malice. Had a brilliant ring to it, so I went for something similar.. Twisted & Tainted

I am half Cherokee and my parents like annoying puns that are less clever each time you hear them, hence the name "tomwaits4noman",
I am a bit rusty on the English translation "think it means hunts buffalo real good".

Imnapl = I am an apple
Well the story goes that I was sitting here and talking to my friend about a name and he told me Imnapl.
I like apples and it was cute and random so I was like "WEEEEEEEEE OK"
So that's it then.....

its a loooooooong story. I'll give you the short version.
I would always ninja on my buddies (disappear on them) and the term biscuit was popular at that time. So I would became biscuitninja. I prefer to call myself a cereal killer! ha ha..
A little of this and that, hopefully nothing explodes right away....

My turn I guess.
When I was in high school, one of the assignments my english teacher gave me (as a challenge) was to come up with a new literary idea. I liked writing poetry, but didn't undersrtand the rules of it very well, so I scrapped the rules and wrote out rhymes in accordance with what I was feeling, thinking, etc. Each time, I'd inevitably write about something I'm either embarassed to admit, ashamed of, or want to keep locked away. I started calling them my little ghosts, and in turn, Ghostrhymes. Later, as I tried taking this idea on to my drawings, I created a character named Ghostrhyme. I use ol' Ghosty when I'm exploring a new technique, method, medium, or I really want to get a specific idea across (like with City Ghosts, which is my take on the ghosts we look at every day, homeless).
Eventually it just became my screen name. Now I even have people IRL calling me "Ghosty".

Mine's a spin-off from a "see spot run" inspired computer geek shirt of c:\dos\run.

My screen name is just a random name that I thought up in my head. So far it's unique to only me. That's why I love it to bits. (I have a fondness for the letter "r")

Cause it's funny how a chimp can aspire to greater things than the normal person comparatively speaking. I'm kind of jealous of the chimp that got to go into space and come back. Not the baboon though that was tested to see what the effects are to a body exposed to the vacuum of space.
If I were that chimp, and could communicate. I would laugh into the faces of every 8 year old child whoever aspires to become an astronaut. Funny thing is I was forced to do so against my will. All humans needs are a drive.
So let it be said, that a chimp has accomplished more in his life (against his will) than most of you will ever try to accomplish yourselves through your freedoms of decision. Compare your lives to his, and then kill yourselves!
