I'm new. :]
I'm a student artist who's studying 3-D animation, and is very nub about it.
Had a friend point me out this site. And I like it. A lot.
I rarely cg on Photoshop because I lacked confidence using it, but I'm trying. :]
Here's a sketch I did recently. I'm tempted to go further, but there are a lot of kinks in terms of perspective (and anatomy).

Gatekeeper.exe - Avarice
Ah, here's another sketch based off of an old design from my senior sketchbook in high school. (I made some fast progress since then.)
Avarice is part of a virus that gained a self-conscious when trying to delete the Gatekeeper program. Now the virus is spreading amok, deleting digitized human souls, a.k.a. avatars.

Here's some more. A simple sketch, some life drawings, and some Bionicle art contest entry. I admit my valiant attempt at cg's terrible. xP

You have great stuff, and I'd like to see some colored pieces that aren't done in Photoshop/Painter/GIMP/Paint Shop Pro/etc.

Muscle Study - Anterior View of ArmYou have great stuff, and I'd like to see some colored pieces that aren't done in Photoshop/Painter/GIMP/Paint Shop Pro/etc.
But thanks. :3
I realized I was losing my touch on my anatomy ever since my figure modeling class, so its back to studying again. The robot arm's an adaptation of the human musculature. Yeah.

A bit more muscle study. And an alien-mechanoid I drew based on a conceptual work I doodled up on Alchemy.
Not as bad-ass as I expected, but I'll keep studying. :>

Big revival, haha.
I've bunched more but I don't have a lot of time scanning them.

I'm learning a lot from my color theory class, so bear with me with my awkward coloring skills, haha.
This is just a wip for a character sheet I'm working on. Lots of purple, I know. Trying to balance some yellow glow/ gold in there. :]

Cool stuff, Hsu! On your latest work I'm seeing very little purple, lots of darkdarkdark blue, though! Sure your screen's set up right? Truthfully if your aim was to be mostly purple, the dark blue with the yellow looks a lot better. Also the poses from March 6th are reeeally similar. Habit? Coincidence? Good to keep an eye on yourself haha.
Keep us updated with this current WIP! Has some good potential in it. Don't be afraid to articulate the uniqueness of the character, to really instill a sense of individuality in it as full-body-modern armor can be quite repetitive and sterile...

Thanks. But wow, I didn't noticed that the poses are similar, I got to watch out for that.
Yeah, I was going for dark ultramarine blue close to purple side, so I thought to just say purple. And it worked quite well. However, I have to put it on hold to work on my school work. I'll get it done when I'm not so furiously modeling like a gerbil on crack.

3-4 hour b/w atmospheric perspective "sketch" for my color theory class.
I'll refine the details and lighting, whether the teacher likes the idea or not.
I was going for a Tai Chi robot, in which the chi can be visibly seen because it's just that good. x3

I'm not dead, just lazy to use the scanner.
