Alchemy - an experimental open source drawing application
Some of you may be familiar with Alchemy, an experimental open source drawing application that we have been working on over the past year. Recently we travelled to Shanghai to check out a workshop with Andrew Jones using Alchemy and to arrange an exhibition showcasing artwork made with Alchemy.
For those who have not yet come across Alchemy, check out the Andrew Jones Alchemy session in Shanghai for a good overview:
Alchemy is free software and we would like to invite the ConceptArt.org community to check it out. As this is not yet a full public release, for the moment we are asking people to signup to download.
Call for artworks - Shanghai Exhibition
Right now we are calling for people using Alchemy to submit their artworks to be exhibited at the Shanghai International Science & Art Exposition from May 16 - 25, 2008. All credit will of course be due the artist and their names appropriately connected with their work.
It would be really nice to see peoples process drawings as well as finished artwork ( eg. http://al.chemy.org/forum/sketches/topic19.html) but any and all works involving Alchemy will be considered.
To submit your works, check out the Alchemy forum post here:
The deadline for submissions is May 1st. Feel free to ask any questions here.
