Flipping through your sketchbook has been an equally humbling and inspiring experience! Your paintings have an incredible amount of life and light-heartedness to them! Really fantastic work. Keep up the excellent work and thank you for the comment!
just looked though your sketchbook and it was a pleasure, great stuff!
keep it up
Some lovely work, but Tomba the Pretentious is right. You have color issues.
Are you possibly partial color blind? I notice a majority of your works show far too much yellow in your reds and greens. Across the board...
Change is Inevitable, Growth is Optional

madster - I'm still fighting with colors, but partially color blind? I don't think I'm that much off....still, thanks for the comment.
Today on the menu, a comissioned Fifth Element piece with a bit of its process, some random sketches, a "terrified self portrait" and 2 other illustrations for the challenge I'm running in my blog - "Granny's Mysterious Box" (writings on the box say "Fragile" and "Never turn this side down") and "Pirates on Ice" (the strip is read right-to-left).
hehe those pirates made me laugh nice idea.
i like that 5th element picture! but something isnt totally right about leeloo (or lilo? i dunno..) but at first lance i thought she was a boy. and her skin could be much paler and dirtier in some spots yo captured the singing diva very very nicely! cheers
Sketchbook (daily Oils):
Break em looose!!
Another boring compliment.
Scetchbook: View the exhibitionist's stuff.
algenpfleger - Thanks! I love that movie too. Only reason I took the comission
Katzenminze - Thank you. I agree, Leeloo's skin could use more work to look like the real thing. But I liked the clean comics-like look (and ran out of time to work on it =))
grandeuforia - thanks!
Mihail - thank you!
zaorr - compliments never are =)
Hive minD - thanks very much man.
DanielC - Thank you! And thanks for dropping by.
Here's my entry for CHOW#144 "Post Apocalyptic Siamese Twins", and some speedy studies and a beginning for a weekly challenge titled "In the Jungle".
texahol - thanks very much mate! I fixed the arm a little, I hope it works better now.
You have some incredible works in your sketchbook. It's all very inspiring to see.
hey cat thanks for stopping by! I've been watching your stuff for a good amount of time and i love all of them.... really yo don't know how much i like them ^^ you kinda just have the feelng for good illustrations they're so painterly yet very strong and have alot of emotion and movement as well, your really inspireing!
tho you've got 5 stars i'm gonna slap another bunch of 5 stars upon it!!
nurraymjo - thanks!
Man Made God - thank you. I used only 2 brushes on the speedies: The top left one was done with a calligraphic brush - just a slanted, narrow shape with opacity and flow set to pen pressure. The other one is like a sprayed circle of dots with texture slapped on the brush. They're both from Chuck,Mate's collection of brushes, which I think he has in his sketchbook somewhere.
Hygami - thanks very much man, it's great to hear
Here's the finished jungle man and a quick character design for "Diadora Funglebucket - Secret Agent".
