Flipping through your sketchbook has been an equally humbling and inspiring experience! Your paintings have an incredible amount of life and light-heartedness to them! Really fantastic work. Keep up the excellent work and thank you for the comment!

Some lovely work, but Tomba the Pretentious is right. You have color issues.

Are you possibly partial color blind? I notice a majority of your works show far too much yellow in your reds and greens. Across the board...

    MARMENTIDO - thanks a bunch =)
D@niel - thank you. It's always a pleasure having you around.
sketcheth - thanks a lot, man.
    areve - Thanks!
madster - I'm still fighting with colors, but partially color blind? I don't think I'm that much off....still, thanks for the comment.

Today on the menu, a comissioned Fifth Element piece with a bit of its process, some random sketches, a "terrified self portrait" and 2 other illustrations for the challenge I'm running in my blog - "Granny's Mysterious Box" (writings on the box say "Fragile" and "Never turn this side down") and "Pirates on Ice" (the strip is read right-to-left).

algenpfleger - Thanks! I love that movie too. Only reason I took the comission
Katzenminze - Thank you. I agree, Leeloo's skin could use more work to look like the real thing. But I liked the clean comics-like look (and ran out of time to work on it =))
    grandeuforia - thanks!

Amazing line work... and everything else! On those speedies,it looks like you're only using default brushes, but not the circular ones... sorry to be a pain, but could you explain the brush set up?

    nurraymjo - thanks!
Man Made God - thank you. I used only 2 brushes on the speedies: The top left one was done with a calligraphic brush - just a slanted, narrow shape with opacity and flow set to pen pressure. The other one is like a sprayed circle of dots with texture slapped on the brush. They're both from Chuck,Mate's collection of brushes, which I think he has in his sketchbook somewhere.
Hygami - thanks very much man, it's great to hear

Here's the finished jungle man and a quick character design for "Diadora Funglebucket - Secret Agent".

    Hi
Awsome colouring/rendering on Tarzan though somehow the arm still looks kinda wrong. Try searching for some reference.
The adventure girl is pure awsomness. I'd love to see the little scenes painted up.

    Cheers

Don't have a thesarus handy so I'll just say I really enjoyed looking through your sketchbook and really appreciate you posting. I'm very inspired to go watch 5th element now I especially like you Siamese twins. I'm a sucker for Post-apoc genre stuff.
