You bet I'll keep practicing the realistic stuff. Thanks for the tips. I totally agree that my characters aren't quite there yet.

Like SEVANS said, you've got a great sense of how to distort things to give them character. I'd love to see more face and body types thrown in, too, to get a real "menagerie" going. That last post with the freaky girl and the two dumpy guys is a good start, but I think you've got enough imagination for pages and pages of weirdos.

This is a quick observation of two people sitting down on the train, the conductor, and my hand. each was drawn under 3 minutes.

    My final assignment

This is my second try at Fat Joe after going through the entire online class in character design. The one on the left is my first attempt to draw this character 9 weeks ago. The one on the right was drawn today and is the final assignment. I will be posting the colored versions once I get the second one finalized.

    Doodle

This is a quick doodle I did earlier today on the way home. This drawing has to do with how I feel today. Sometimes you just can't hide from the inevitable train wreck.

    man on train reading newspaper

I really need to find a new venue to draw in. The side and back of head views is getting too tedious, but here is a man reading the newspaper i spotted today.
