start of my journey
Hi all this is the start of my journey hope we will be friends!
So far concept art has helped me a lot to get my energy back. Iíve had a rough time like with my energy/fantasy for about a year now, And Iíve not been so happy ; ( but I started drawing again and I feel really happy again. So well now my goal is too never stop drawing until I die so I can be happy all the time.
Nah my goal with this is too being able to in the end take my ideas from my head and put them on paper. I think my ability to draw off things is average but when it comes to putting ideas from my crazy head onto paper it wonít work. So Iím going to push myself until I can put my ideas on a paper so everybody understand them and says something like wow you made that no way thatís awesome or something like that ( hopefully )

hey Jojomondag great that U started a sketchbook and good to see some work here. Keep practicing with anatomy studies and check out some books on proportion to help your sketches along. Practice makes perfect!

Interesting stuff, but you've got a long way to go. If you REALLY want to learn how to do stuff out of your head, first learn how to do stuff that you can see. Start with fruit, work up to figures and anatomy, THEN you know what's up.

Looks like you're off to a good start. I think it is wise of you to continue using photo reference, but try to get some life drawing in as well. I think you are also doing well in terms of mixing up your POV.
Keep up the work and you will be in a good place soon enough!

slow down. really. you're rushing your anatomy studies.
The reason you copy other people's anatomy drawings is for a few reasons, one of which is the muscle memory (it gets ingrained into your nervous system to draw in that manner)
take the time to work on a study until it looks near perfect. Use less scratchy lines because you know that the drawing you're copying doesn't have them.

I just completed this last draw of a picture i found here on conceptart. Dont remember the atist atm but it was a photo i will share his name when i remember. Anyhow quite happy from this one learned alot about values. Im gonna start working on Posemaniacs now but is there any other page that works even better then posemaniacs? ive heard that usually the picture from that hompage will tend too look rather static.
I just wanna get better at drawing poses from my head so i guess thats the best way too learn.

I can't see any of your new work, things are coming up as missing image files. Maybe you would like to look into this?
One issue I see in your earlier work at least is you should think in simple shapes, draw cubes and cylinders first, to get the form of what you're drawing first. That was the advice I was given at least.
Hope that helps, good luck with your next drawings bro and have fun! =)

Hi Kungfoowiz thx for your reply, the pixtures should be fixed now. And thx for your tips, im gonna think more in primitivs.
Did some drawings this weekend and here you can see some of them. The clock is the onw im most happy with. Trying too draw more from real life.

Interesting, your shapes and sense of form has improved much from your earlier drawings. For example the shapes are more believable from the seashells, it looks like you may have drawn them from life.
On the monster for example, try to imagine his arm as a series of cylinders, and then use this to guide your construction and drawing. The same applies to almost everything, try to imagine it as the basic shape first, it will help your drawings muchly.
