    orange's funland -- children admitted half-price

hey everyone. seeing inspiring progress everyone's making I felt the urge to jump on the train and start my own sketchbook.
I got helpful crits on these two fellas in the critique section already regarding arms of the second one and dynamics in general. but hit me with anything you find noticeable.
I think I'm making this the place to drop all the sketches to come.
Looking forward to reading your thoughts and advice.

The last one is a cool image but I thought squirrel first then realized the thing I thought was a bushy tail was looking like a wing... after reading the text it makes more sense. Pet dying can be quite traumatic.

    lol at the last one.!

from what i´ve seen now your stuff reminds me , of mc farlanes linework! wich isn´t a bad thing . yet i would recommend you to get lost of detail for a while and spend the energy on loose lifedrawings. also you might try some more mediums my i tbe digital, pencils or different paper. if you have more to show so do it even old stuff. can´t crit succesfully though because i don´t know what goal you want to reach regarding improvements .
    keep it coming you´re welcome

Like your style! but its kinda hard too see stuff in your pictures but they still look great. Do you do your pictures on computer or pencil and paper?
My favourite is the first character he looks a bit like a whale at front did you had that in mind when you drew him?

    Stay a while and listen!

    Sketch, thanks a lot.

Jojomondag, thank you. yes I obviously tend to get lost in detail but I really enjoy doing this kind of drawings. no pencil sketches, they're all orange pen drawings on paper. You're right, though, that the first one looks a bit like a whale. I did a whale before and they definately show some resemblence but not intended.

new one done today. it's manbearpig being hassled by the dwarfes. damn them bearded rats.

hey thanks aussiedeza, yeah i was thinking the same. probably put some values on the next big one I do. seeing the last one here, it kinda looks like a huge blob of lines.
but I just have some really quick sketches today. these were done with and for my little cousin. he gave me the animals, I butchered them together.
should've put some more love in them but patience isn't one of his virtues.

Niko, thanks. probably do something in color soon.

    Arrowhead, haha thanks man.

really appreciate your support so I didn't want to leave you without update.
hate this one. I totally messed up both arms....
it's nowhere making it to the series I startet with the first two but yeah.. you deserve to see the failed ones, too.

The first two looked kindly but scary... this guy looks MEAN. It's the eye - he's got an angry eye.

    Post some pencils or something!

    allright been a while again.
haha Lake your right man. didn't even notice it. they're still supposed to be gentle gardeners so there's another reason this one doesn't really fit.

and wow here's a pencil sketch. but --ooww-- it's just one. sorry. did this at a recent life figure drawing session. I always do a pencil one first to warm my hands up and get used to the models proportions. not really using the pencils benefits here just doing lineart. probably showing off some of my poor shading next time.
after that I go back to my beloved orange pen. plus a bit of bonus black pen.

    sexy sexy. thanks for looking.

    rediscovering my tablet.
lazy update. just first values on one gardener and a very early wip.
showing it already might keep me working on it.
