Liking what I see now, especially bloody mohawk man. The pose on the first seems a bit awkward, but the concept is nice. I think i saw it before in work in progress forums...

CrissCross - thanks, it's a sp.
Hive_minD - thanks!
Dished - definitely thanks

Good job with the anatomy stuff...

After reading your website I respect you not only as an artist but also as a person. Overall, awesome. I especially enjoy portrait and anatomy studies. Someday I'd like to be able to draw like you.
*off to study*

Thanks for the crits mate.
Great studies, I really need to dive into some myself. You can never do too much, only too little.

Exquisite Beast - Thanks! I'll post more of it soon.
Alen - always happy to offer a crit.
lvl0 - thanks; especially for going to my website, heh.
chras - thank you sah.
RandAlThor - well don't copy me; I'm just making copies of other people's. On my anatomy studies you'll see little signs that say "after xxxxxx" and that's the artist you should be looking at. I might do some anatomy stuff for myself one day but not yet.
The Original [E] - Thanxu. Will post more.
some photoshop sketches in the meantime.

the first time i see your sketchbook, i think your thumbnails attracted me.
and the rest is really pleasant looking,
i noticed a thing in your boy i read recently about composition: avoid x form
the heart in the glasses, has it some meaning ?
your apple is really awesome, i don't think it need more details
March 27th, 2008 #19
cool. excellent anatomy studies. it shows that you spent a lot of time really breaking it down.
the new sketches are nice. apple is pretty rad.
as for the chick something is off in her left (viewer right) leg, looks like her knee/shin is twisting in some odd way.
ankles could use a little more attention too. otherwise really great stuff. keep it up.
March 27th, 2008 #20
Nice apple! and other stuffs shows promise too! keep it up and keep posting.
only crits would be slightly stiff legs on the character sketches!

I love the portrait, bold strokes and colours! As for the sketchy stuff, it's looking damn great. The anatomical studies are inspiring and enjoyable to look at. Overall a very pleasing sb to look at. Looking forward to it to grow!

Wow great work! Is the second picture a self portray? And could you give me a tip where I can find good anatomy pictures? Where did you find yours? And by drawing anatomy you mean just drawing of muscles and skeletons from pictures? Sorry for all questions . Anyhow thanks for your reply and well I’m really serious about this! I’ve been into 3d for some time. You can see my demo reel here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUgBMyLdbpo but I’ve never been that good at drawing. Well honestly I’m not even considering me that good on 3d, but I think I’ve started to feel the wind of change in my hair. Anyhow thanks again for your tips I’m going to do my best to follow them. Might I ask one last question how much do you draw? lately I’ve been drawing everyday and well now I can’t stop this has been going on for about a week and well I am very happy now because I had a big mental breakdown for a long time and it feels so good to be back creating stuff even if it’s not that good stuff. I even feel afraid for stopping creating stuff as I know how it feels to be walking on the no creativity road.
And woophi was not the corect answer atleast you saw that it was a woman ^^

this is lookin real good, Lake.
your handling of digital media is way above my head. apple looks great and the finished works from the beginning as well. go work some on the thumbnails, or one of them. they sure are just thumbnails but go put some more love in them. so far I like the 2nd in the 2nd row best. whats going on with him? is his arm turning into beetles?
I'll be back to see what else you got up your sleeves.
March 28th, 2008 #25
orange M - Will do - I'll be tossing up some more soon hopefully. The concept for the characters down there were that some guy got his arm eaten off by roaches and they decided to stay.
Jojomondag - Yehp. The second pic is a SP. Personally, I like "Anatomy for the Artist" by Sarah Simblet. Also Joseph Sheppard, George Bridgman, Barcsay, and a few others. I draw daily, of course
AsaB - Thanks! Glad to see you here!
kidult - Stiff legs - got it. Will work on my legs definitely.
GusTheRobot - Ah yeah I see what you mean. Will adjust if I come back to that one.
zou - Erm I'm not sure what you mean about the thing in my boy you read about composition? The heart in the glasses - wouldn't you like to know?
AANYway. more anatomy.

nie stuff u have here, pretty sweet. but i gotta agree with GustheRobot - i want more xD
March 30th, 2008 #29
Lotet - thanks, dude. more below.
GusTheRobot - more down there >> I use Simblet's Anatomy for the artist, bridgman, sheppard, barcsay. a few others here and there, though of course I'd like to own a shitload. I was thinking about purchasing a grey's anatomy book.
Micaiah Nelson - sure, dude. I'll toss up some gestures soon.
more character thumbs and also a torso study.
