    Painted in Photoshop

First timer here. Please critique this picture ^^ Paintovers would be awesome.

I'm not happy with her face, and I'm sure there are other flaws too.

(off topic: haha, butt licking/ kissing smilies? Never seen them anywhere else...)

I love the contrast between the purples and the golds that you have going on right now, they're fantastic!

I'll let someone else crit the face because I'll just make a mess of it, but i will crit the water. The plane of water that you have has actually two levels to it. The level where the girl is resting, and the level where the hair to the right of her is resting. Its making the water feel more like something not flat, so you need to watch your perspective when laying hair on a flat plane like that. Also, the details in the knee coming out of the water closest to us could use some more contrast, so there is more atmospheric perspective happening. The skin meeting water on her arm is fantastic, and i'd like to see something like that replicated on her dress, though with fabric in mind.

I like the piece so far!

I like the comp. Nice balance in color the only thing I can see is that it lacks mood. And the face is strange perhaps it the jaw line. And the face is looking up although the nose and mouth is drooping down.

Wow! Thank you so much, both of you! That was very helpful. I'm going to try and see if I can do a quick fix.

Nice hands. Shadow in the head is too dull. The saturation value is too disbalaced. I would desaturate the purpl. flowers, and leave only butterfly with hard color.

I love it, this is a minor point but I think her right calf/knee could be made to look slightly more substantial - the anatomy of the joint doesn't look quite right,
