Cool studies man. The boxed forms have a nice life to them, like puppets suddenly come alive and exploring their form.

You are really doing a nice job on the figures. Sometimes you seem to retreat into something like "front lighting" (e.g. post 83, post 99) and it has a flattening effect on those nice volumes you can draw. The purple WIP guy you have been doing recently is a little more like "form lighting" on the muscles which looks good, although I am not sure his outline over on our left would be so dark. Look up the form lighting scheme (and "rim lighting") and you will be able to blow the doors off people's minds with your seemingly solid figures.

By form lighting I am meaning what this guy calls the key light, but used without the other two lights.
    http://www.3drender.com/light/3point.html
Rim lighting is the rim light he has from behind without the other two lights. It's really great for twisted creatures like you draw sometimes because of the drama.
(get a load of the apple example for what I was meaning about dark outlines)

Thanks everyone for the great feedback.

Right now Im in the middle of a personal project
that will explore the depth of adobe illustrator and it s uses
    in the concept art industry.
I know not many artist employ Adobe illustrator for these purposes
but im going to be different in this area. Im setting up two paths for my artwork
    exploration:

Humannature & Michael Austin Design, MAD.

These will serve to draw a line between my two artwork styles,
and allow me to bid against myself.

Well I will keep everyone posted.

    Here is the start.

Way to go man. I am not sure whether your neat and stylish style is influenced by Illustrator or not, but I really like it. Also you got great sense of design, so many interesting ideas go on here and there, really can't crit on anything. All in all, I think colour is your strongest part in my point of view.

    Keep it up!

Illustrator is no different than painting.
The only difference is that you have unlimited
    magnification.

Its kind of like painting with a microscope.
    Thanks for the comments.

    Aye,
The Martyr has a very simple design and silhouette and seems to lend itself to the rougher/more dynamic finish of the pencil drawings you posted that give him more movement/interest. The illustrator images are much to clean, too the point that they seem frozen and boring. He is an action hero right? He needs movement. I would look to Viewtiful Joe.
About your last concept you posted, there are some issues with the pose and lighting. You depict him leaping stretched forward but you drew his torso upright (which you may have intended to do). The right arm looks like a stub, the perspective may have been able to be convincing had you backed it up with the green light to give it form.
You need to define your light sources, why isnít there any glow on the belt? The folds under his arm? His right arm would be bathed in green light based on the intended pose, where is it? You have a large light placed directly above the subject, why isnít his belt cast in shadow? His crotch and left leg would technically be on the same level in his pose, even if the upper thigh is in slightly more light, the light too shadow should not be the same change in value as on right leg that is directly exposed to the light source.
I would alter the colors of the character as well; plain medium green red and orange are not very appealing, while yellow orange, red, and yellow green are. You are cheating your character out of... character... by working with a cruddy color scheme.
