    hey dude, I wont leave
your speaking about school, attending any artschool?
Im currently looking around (I sent a portfolio to leipzig today , guess you know the HGB) Now im trying to go to berlin, studying gamedesign, (actually I prefer that)

just one note to the werewolfthing: pretty often nose, eye and ear build one line in the face of an animal.
Just want to mention that because in my first intention my brain said: hey dude, somethings stange with this guys ears, even for a human they are kinda low. dunno^^

oh and hey, do the guys at digitalartforum.de a favour an update your skechtbook, you havent been there for months they need someone to look up at

woweee this stuff is staying strong. You're keeping good energy in your pencil and digital lines - and even in the quick environments.

Thinking out loud - in the last 2 enviros I find the first one much more professional feeling. I love the camera position in that it feels aligned with the characters view. There is prolonged eye movement due to the placement of all the objects in spacial depth. Colors aren't so bad and shape variety, especially in terms of size, really interesting.

Hope those thoughts help a little. Strongly executed faces as well...very solid feeling construction for the most part.

Armor designs: I just had a thought about detail placement. I would try to only add chaotic elements where we want people to look longer or for an interesting feature.

    In this image: http://i686.photobucket.com/albums/v.../dfhdgdf-1.jpg

The character on the right feels more balanced, while on the left, the chest plate just feels too hard to understand and takes away from the overall balance. What do you think? Nit-picking but sometimes these things reveal habits!

Wow, it does pulsate, that one! And yes, I do ask - what is a workflow test?

How long do you do art for each day? Out of curiosity.

    NickTrip sounds great ! thanks

PxelSlayer ... and i hate you for your figures =_= oh, maybe i had to give the last experiment a few words of explaining for instance: when you'r looking at someones professional artwork, they have their way of working - their own workflow. i recognized myself just switching between different ways of starting and completing an image; so i just sat down, trying to look after my workflow and doing each step with full concentration. that way i wanna see how the result of my image is changing and also if its very time consuming. basicly thats what i ment with 'workflow-test' lol

Umbravita hey, means alot thanks i try to explain my words some sentences above if you dont mind. and ..hmm... how long do i draw each day... it really depends, but i try to manage my time precise to have enough time for drawing, because i'm still going to school, which is really time intensive D: to tell you a number; i'd say 1-3h from day 1-5, and 5-48h at the weekend cheers mate!

    apology yay, thanks

HerrleerzeichenS heyo! me2me2 not at all...i'm more of an collector type ! thanks

Parsakoira thanks man ! i'm going to check back again in some seconds hehe

Fetsch thank you victor ! i wish i would be able to D: need to get more points for my skillbar ... sooon my friend...soooon

Velocity Kendall yupiii! thank you !

monotony thanks for stopping by and your warm words dude ! we still need to ride your stylish cars, remember ?!

D: there are so many nice and warm comments and i'm just going to post 4 tiny pictures :/ sry for that, buddies! your attention really means alot!

hm, i caught a flu, ...yay _ and exmas are here again, thats why i couldn't draw as much as i have wanted to.
    anyways, here's a hungry dino

after i listend to mr paick again, i realized that i didn't focus on some very importants things; like: keeping it simple to read, design your own world, 1/3 composition, etc.
these are some of the aspects i didn't keep in mind for the dinosaur for example, thats it what was bothering me - means: STUDIES
    here'r some, around 30mins

    oh and exiguous pencils

    Thanks for the explanation!

Your scenes are beautiful and inspiring. I want to paint like that one day. I hope you don't mind more questions (no pressure to answer) - how did you get started? I have no experience at all drawing scenes (to the extent my pictures never have backgrounds) and - where the heck do you start? How do you proceed in something that looks pretty complicated?

    Looking forward to more art!

Umbravita noooo, aim hiiiiiiigher D: yeah, questions are awesome; keep throwing. ehr, how did i start ? i posted nearly every single picture i've done in here; so i can't really tell what leads to improvement the most D: but i would recommend doing alot of photostudies and drawing tons of perspective stuff, wether from great artists or from life. i also would stick to values first, cause this leads to color afterwards. basicly doing environments is just like everything else and the basics are the same. i'm not pro in these things so i'm just talking from experiece. i also haven't the finished picture in mind from the beginning, if you might expect that; the image develops though different stages and that makes it 'complicated'. hope that helps, bud

Lyno thanks duuude james paick and aaaalot of other artists, even the ooold ones, uses that ''rule'' the canvas is just divided into thirds, and you should keep the focus of interest where the red lines cross each other; i helps to make an image attractive i think like here

QueenWorm GREAT ! thanks. 1 hour is quiet alot, i really appreciate that i think i answered your question while talking to Umbravita some lines above or have you still some questions left?! dont hesitate to ask

exams are over again, which means some weeks to practice serious studies <*_*>

    here'r some doodles

and my first eow approach i think i'm going to give it some final touches here and there
