Hi again Gale, good to see you updating regularly, your stuff is coming along nicely Like those pencil drawings a lot!

You asked me in my sb how I did those head studies. You can find them in Loomis' Head and Hands book, among his other books. They're downloadable for free here: http://acid.noobgrinder.com/Loomis/ I suggest downloading them all, they're an excellent resource! Now keep it up

sjuskadur: hehe thank you very much for dropping by! I am trying to some up with other styles but I'm focusing on life studies first.

lilnebo: thanks! The first thing I ever learned to draw is realism. so there ya go. hehe.

fantasyartist: I agree, I'm not so into form, I find perspective hard when it doesn't include just a box. hehe

Quinn Simoes: thanks! I will try to do some more pencil sketches ^^

AsaB: Yeah I'm working on getting my hands on those books. I found some ebooks of andrew loomis and other artists in processjunkie's blog. thanks!!

the swimmer is the only drawing from imagination. the other two are life drawings. ^^

    Finally an Update

So after sometime, i finally made something. Well I made other stuff but their anime and I don't wanna show it here because everybody does not approve of anime. ehe but i totally understand.

this is a scene from the movie "last life in the universe". its a beautiful art film, cinematography was by the amazing Christopher Doyle. ^___^ This is Noi smoking. it was such a gorgeous pose that i had to do this.

I really like your portraits and more traditional art work. Your stylized things are decent. my favorite is http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1205222135

that first picture is particularly beautiful, as are your referenced portraits. i also love that you're experimenting with a variety of looks

however, i notice your lines and figures aren't nearly as sensitive in the drawings from imagination. it might be a bit hypocritical coming from me, but don't let the colors and textures distract you from the quality of the drawing underneath.

all in all though, im excited to see how far you're going to go :] keep it up!

One thing You are missing here are your anatomy studies.
Those are really important and need to be worked on.
My theory on figure drawing is not to think of it as a figure at all, but
understand it as a series of shapes interlocking in 3d space.
Any system of lines can be converted into 3d space.
Commenting on your work, Its great but you will improve
a lot if you see everything as 3d shapes. What I will do is take one of your drawings ad convert it to 3d space.

    Keep pushing.

    Thank you for the comment, but I'm not really sure I understand. Will you pls explain some more? I don't know what you're referring to here. ^^;
