Nah, I know I've been slacking. But it's been super bizzy for me last weeks so little time forr art. But expect some thunder the next 2 weeks! It's comin' at cha girl! Holler!
Postin some sketches to prove you guys I'm still alive
Though the colour overlay is nice, I still like the black and white version better- it really helps me to get a feel of the character itself, nice and sombre (yeah, cant spell ) I am getting really jealous of your quick paints too! The quick ones are nice and loose, but the linework is clean enough for us to see what you've created.
Where your once steely reserve is now merely tinned,
You'll find it all in Morrowind
Got back from GDC Europe yesterday, met alot of cool people. Like really big dudes in the gae industry, to list a few: the lead designer of Grid and Borderlands, Producer at Ubisoft, Publisher of Stalker,...
Crashed the Crytek party etc,... In short, it was a hell of alot of fun!
I made a painting over there, cause we had to demonstrate our skillz at the booth.
Its finally finished!
I even made a progress kind of picture with it.
I first started out in color, getting all the shapes, volumes etc right...
It actually started out as a siple study of a nude girl with tats, but then I got the idea to make those tats to come alive as if they were descending on her shoulders!
After I done that, I was struggling with the colors and values, so I switches it up and when to black and white, to correct the values and layed a color layer on top of it. Afterwards I played around with the levels and color balance to finish it up.
