whoa i just gotta tell ya again: your moleys are so damn awesome! - probably the best moleskine art i've ever seen! love your brushwork! the latest update rocks as well!!!
love a creative sketchbook (a physical o ne i mean)
Great paintings. I love the way you play with colors!
Like those last two spreads, good design or composition or whatchamallacallit on 'em. Resonating stuff, ya know? And the paint job is nice, especially on the left page of the second spread. The page with the ink work takes the cake for me, always had a thing for strong b&w's.
I feel really useless saying this, but
it's all I can say
Hey It's been a long time since i told you how much your work is excellent ! So, here I am ! *art hug*
Awesome sketchbooks, really!
Keep on being awesome !!
Oh and : When do you make a comic book??
a la bapsi: Thanks!
Bill: Thanks! I've been thinking about doing that. Maybe I'll have one for Comic-Con one of these years.
IanE: Thanks! I know how you feel. I've been working so hard the last few months, I haven't been able to paint as much as I'd like to either.
Max Challie: Thanks! I found your post very useful for my big fat ego!
Clochette: Thanks! Those paintings on your blog look awesome by the way! I'm working on a comic right now! It looks like it'll be done sometime in 2010 (yeash!) but I might be able to start posting some sneak peeks this summer. We'll see how things go.
I did this last night. The model had this funny antler headband thing. I excluded the headband part because always look better as hybrid monsters.
Damn. You're driving me crazy. Every page in your sketchbook is a mini masterpiece. Thanks so much for posting everything.
nice handling of the watercolours in the life paintings mate, really clean and well placed strokes. love all the sketch pages, not a bad word to say bout any of those. Fun stuff.

Screaming colors lately. Batman smirk, silly.
SketchBook Chris Yoakum?
wookiedabo: Thanks. I've never had anyone describe my watercolor technique as "clean" before. haha.
MonkeYoakum: Thanks. I've been trying to push myself to use more and better colors maybe it's starting to pay off!
Both of these are Speedball Super Black India ink applied with a Winsor Newton Series 7 Size 1 brush.
love the inks but try size 3!
realy grate love the lines and colors you are using, and the wey you use them. Moebius stuff realy good i wold like to see more of that.
Victor B: Haha! I love my size 3! Unfortunately, the it's started to loose it's point
Owm: Thanks man! unfortunately I can only bring myself to copy moebius a few times a year.
Every once in a while, I get the idea that I need to put together an Editorial illustration portfolio. Here are acouple of examples.
This one is about city councils considering raising the water rates to encourage conservation. Finished it last night. Brush and ink and then colored in Photoshop.
This is about speaking what's in your heart. Did this one a while ago. Brush and ink with a watercolor wash.

If I were a woman I would say have my babies now! but Im not sooo I wont, I will say however great work dude.
The "speaking what's in your heart" one is perfect, probably the only way to do that topic properly. As always, great work. You should do up an editorial cartoon portfolio, it'ld probably get you some good work. Cheers!
God Damn man! Awesome updates! The latest stuff is really really good, Makes all my artsy juices flow haha. I really dig the Iggy Pop stuff you got going there. Keep us updated!
