    My first post...

This is my first post on Concept Art, I've been a member for a while but what with college work and stuff, I've never really got round to doing anything here.
Anyway here's a painting I did for a college assignment - it is going onto a DVD cover for the Chronicles of Narnia.

    Critique would be most welcome.

Looks cool. I'm really liking the composition.

I think the colors work well too. I wonder if the way to shaped the muzzle is reading too canine however. It's not really a big deal, he reads as a lion. But if you cover up his lone fur and just examine his face it looks kind of wolfish. Dogs have that long muzzles while cats, essentially including lions, have a shorter muzzle that slopes down form the top of their heads. Kind of like they were hit by a frying pan.

    Cool image, Rock on!

    ...my humble and uneducated opinion.

yes I see what you mean. I referred to a lot of reference images but I guess the fact that I've always been around dogs and not lions kind of shows here

Thankyou for taking the time to look at it. I really appreciate it.

As you scroll down it looks great until the bottom jaw is uncovered. It just looks too puny, not masterful enough. I guess this is hard to change now as it look like you've used water based paints.
