Hey Onir, it's good to see you here and in the Motion Graphics forums. I've been obsorbed with 3D lately as I am still trying to finish my short. Took a break to play with this one I modeled and rigged a while back. Still working and thanks for the well wishes, picked up the Muybridge on humans so I'm really excited about the next project!

I had to come up with some crazy characters to exist in this new dimension so I was think of what I said back on page 4 when I was thinking about this short. I really was able to get some cute characters going and make the behave the way they should...
Start out with a few polite sketches, wanted them to be devils, but when is the last time you saw a cute CG devil?
Had an interesting time with the rigs but did not refine too much. After all ART is about solving problems!
So anyway I eventually got everthing working good with these 5 characters as you will see...
CAPTAIN SKETCH-Sort of a hybrid hero type if you know what I mean...
LAGER-Sort of a high pitched slightly affeminite dragon/donkey/zebra hybrid.
WEBSTER-He is sort of you're basic standart character with 'bug' eyes. He just likes to walk...
GRAHAM-he/she is the cutest of them all. A feist woodland type that is only slightly psycho!
NIVEK-Has a weight problem but doesn't know it. There is not enough green blood and air getting through his head! Ooops! He is nice tho!
There you have them!!!!
Each of the characters appears on screen in this, here is that shot. Also a tree that was omitted from the final...
Had to create some animated electric shocks so here are some of those chararters in action.
Spent some time ruminating on a perfect landscape for the ending including a city I peiced together from various seaside cities.
Here are some of the test renders for the final scene to get the blocking on the words just tight!
Here are a few extra landscapes from the warp tunnel and of course our titlepiece to end it all! Thanks for watching, listening, I'd love to get some reactions to this one! See you later.
Till next time.
Late, Jath-Sorry Guys if I dind answer you in de lass pose mon. Juss wanted to getrue wid de updet fo ed animashun mon. Nuttin' bot it. Not tryin ta run dem up!
Also workin' on a little stuff for the next ep of Cybertales 3. and a little animation that was too late for the FOX competition. Want to run this through the character designer and see what I can come up with far as a story...
FOX Aniboom- Merry F-in X-mas!!!!
FOX-Seriously-It's F-n X-MAS for Christ's sake!
Heard about portait day a little late but since I already posted a digital3D version on page 4 I guess I'll post up something for an upcoming animation. A but abstract I think!
A bit of a characacter sheet from a series I was working on...
Happy belated H-ween!
All the mech models are rockin'
Cybertales 2 is very interesting, however I think that the actual animation of the characters could be improved.
Keep up the good work!
Hey man! I agree with HunterKiller, these are nice stuff you are doing and if you want to take it further and beyond I would highly recommend drawing more traditional studies to strengthen those foundations. Everybody needs it and the sooner we all get lots of practice in them the better our work will turn out. So try get some of those going alongside what you are doing.
Personal opinion but the number of highly saturated colours are burning my eyes Perhaps tone it down, you could try it out and see if you like the results. Crazy ideas dude!
Hey CM, Finally stopping by now that I have a moment. Some very trippy stuff on here! You're certainly pushing the boundaries of the norm I must say. Keep posting aye, You've improved quite noticeably from when you started, it really shows hey
robots! nice Mirage transforming!)))
I like your mechanical stuff, but from what I have seen in the color choices; most of them are hard on the eyes. You might want to get help with that, along with the image quality. (I know you're trying to keep the filesize small, but the quality could be a bit better.) As for your figures, you might want to check out some books on anatomy when you get the chance.

Colors added also, sometimes they are too hard because there are not much complimentary colors like brown/underasturated colours with hard neon colours.Well experimenting will tell what works for you and what not, keep on doing the original approach othevice

Nothing much this time. Just thought I'd post. Been working on an animation for a client so nothing to see here of course. Hope you enjoy my musings on the side.
Thanks for droppin by guys!
Hey space man, thanks for dropping by so often lately! I've been around here more than a few times but I'm surprised I've never dropped a comment. I really dig what your doing with your designs and color pallete, i can't think of any word other than "Garish" but I mean it in the best possible way, It has a great vintage/retro feel to it, same with your designs. Your mech work, as well as other stuff reminds me of work in "M.D. Geist". Have you ever read it or seen it before? Good stuff.
Awesome wacky animation as well, can't wait to see what you're working up now.
Keep it up, and keep us a bit more updated on your art, will ya?!

Austin-thanks for stopping by, couldn't find that MD Geist character anywhere. Maybe you can post a link. By the way how are things going in your new place? Went to Comicpalooza last week at George R. I hope to get better as I go along here, anything constructive you can say about how things can improve would be great. Otherwise I'll just take it as a compliment!
Sorry I haven't been responding to everyone's post, but for a while I lost the ability to make different color text for some reason. I still can't post video!!! Below is a slideshow of drawings done with different types of distorted perspectives. This is important to understand when it’s neccessary to create animation(or drawing) that cannot be done using traditional CG techniques including camera lens distortions. Hope you like!
This is really interesting. Love the detail. Keep up the good work.
It's been awhile man! Psychedelic designs! I enjoy the fact that you're pushing boundaries and daring to be different. The recent perspective figures are really cool, very easy to visualize them in a dramatic setting. Hope to see more soon!
Charlesicay-Thanks Charles so much for you kind words, It really makes my day! By the way is that Charles as in IK, hehe!
zhonked-Hey zhonked, always good to see you here and thanks for allowing me to be a bit psychadelic wicha! Ha! Still working out the logics of the animation of this tho, any help would be great, so whaddid you mean by dramatic setting?
Morgado-In terms of doing more updating doing the best I can with the client confidentiality bit, In terms of being high, well I that all kinna depends on the next time I can score some man! You got any!? Just high on lofe I suppose, Bwahagagaha!
Anyways, here's some character designs I did for an animation at this link called You Took My Girl. The animation had to be timed out to the music of these characters...
printed out the wave form for a little sine surfing!!!
By dramatic setting I meant like comics or big budget action movies. The extreme perspective on those figures lends itself well to really impactful shots. I'd love to give a critique if you want it, but what are you focusing on right now?
Finished up the character design for Cybertales 3 and doing some of the animation now. Sorry for no updates. Not too much to report.
Zonked-Thanks for the shouts and keep challenging yourself!
OTTO, MAH, and TIC...

Good work on the figure/mannequin drawings, need moar!
The better and faster you can draw figures, the better your animation will become.
Getting tired of using my imagination so I'm studying the things that really matter! Tigers. Here's some I did from a YouTube show after reading Jack Hamm's awesome book. I love cats now! What's better than CATS!!? Nothing!
