    Alena's Sketchbook

    I need some motivation to sketch/draw more often.

    So I try to post here regularly.

    First some old sketches from 2005-2007

    i really think you should stray away from the anime shaped head.
    Maybe study the skull of a human.
    Not that anime is a bad style , it's just try draw realistically and add your style onto what you have learned.

    I agree with xxzxczx_me, taking some time to do more studies of normal human anatomy and facial features would be really beneficial. That being said, it looks like you do have a pretty decent grasp of body proportions and your poses do look quite natural most of the time. Be careful with perspective though, as in the pencil holder still life. Ellipses or circles in perspective can be pretty tricky, but they're essential for selling the illusion.. let's see more new stuff yeah? =)

    xxzxczx_me Thanks for the advice. I will try it. I just don't know where to start.... So I study some anatomy books at the moment, hope they will help^^

    Randomself Thank you. I still think, I need to learn a lot about anatomy and proportions. And I have a lot of problems with heads and faces, so I will concentrate on this from now on. Yeah, perspective is so.... time consuming^^; I often get bored and impatient^^;

    Last bit of the old sketches from 2005-2007

    Wow! Großes Kompliment.. wirklich toller Einstieg!
    Der Faltenwurf ist ja der Wahnsinn Hast du da lang für geübt, oder liegt dir das im Blut? o.ô Find ich nämlich recht schwer.. aber ich habs auch noch nicht oft versucht ^^.
    Anatomie ist auch sehr schön, allerdings ein bisschen undefiniert.. liegt wohl an den Mangaeinflüssen .
    Lös dich mal ein bisschen davon, damit auch die Gesichter ein bisschen menschlicher werden :o.

    Zeichnen, zeichnen, zeichnen.. immer weiter..
