    Drawing portrait technique

    Hello CA dudes
I was surfing the other night and came across nathanfowkes.blogspot.com (great artist). He has a very good technique for drawing portraits.
The question is, is there somebody else who does this particulairy technique (i guess so), or some info on sites, books? Hope you guys can help me out,

    cheers,
    frank

this looks like the frank riely method of drawing. I've seen people from watts atelier draw this way.

I heard its a method that can only be taught in a class for a clearer understanding. Its becoming a pretty popular way of drawing and rendering.

Nathan Fowkes painting style reminds me of Paul Lasaine

Thanks for the link, it's great stuff. He's definitely using Reilly based construction. It's a set of abstractions of the major forms and planes that allow you set up and understand the underlying structure without getting distracted by detail too soon.

They also teach this method at the Los Angeles Figurative Arts when I was down there. It's a really great method.

    Impressive results.

    He's got landscapes, too.

    Nice.
