I loved your 19th post, I wish I could draw anatomy as good as you do!
Check out my sketchbook.
Or deviant art.
liking your stuff
Very nice work. I love the aqua-haired girl. I was very impressed with that rock formation, your shading is great.
Mmhmm, you have a beautiful style. I really love that newest once. The colors are perfect and dramatic.
I can't wait to see more!
thanks guys, you're the greatest!
glad you're liking it.
more shall come, slowly. only a few more weeks of school!
I really like the first tablet piece, the girl laying with drapery. Very nicely done. You will be great when you are finished with school.
Nice stuff so far, i like your ladies, so keep it coming!
Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook!
You have some very nice stuff here. My favorites are the sketches of the inukshuk and the blue haired gal.
You mentioned wanting some crits on your anatomy, so....
On your girl covered in cloth, there are a couple of things off. Her right (our left) hand is too low on her arm. Her wrist bone seems to be sticking out because of this. This hand is also a touch small. Also, if you look at her legs are going, they appear to be attaching much lower than where her body should end. Her feet are also a little small, although that might just be my bias because I have huge feet.
Your shading also seems to be stuck with a top left to bottom right stroke a lot of the time.
Congratulations on your acceptance into the animation program at Sheridan, and the best of luck! You've worked hard and you're off to a good start.
but thank you!
Very, very, very nice so far - looking forward to you posting some more!
Keep at it!
ok these arent 100% recent.. but they're from around christmas or so and i just havent posted them for some reason, so they're close enough!
the first is a portrait of my friend, the second was part of a school assignment (it was more about changing colour schemes than the image, i'd post that but i dont have it scanned and... i'm lazy.)
and the last is just something from my head while sitting in class, from looking at a perfume bottle in my purse. dont ask why it became a moustached gentleman, it just seemed right

Love your works! Your paintings are awesome. I'd like to see more compliment colors in the flesh areas, some greens and blues, also like to see the chow piece completed. C:

Awesome sketchbook. Really love the variety! Your portraits are amazing, so full of energy and life. I especially love the girl with the turquoise hair, it's so vibrant!
Your dress designs on one of your first few posts were amazing, I'd love to see some more, with colour, that is.
very nice, Oh god i love it
i just went through all my drawings and things i had on my computer, because they were all over the place and duplicated etc. i really have to stop doing these things at 2 in the morning!
but anyways heres some junk that got lost in the abyss.
1. a 5 min sketch of my friend
2. i had a dream i was swimming with mantas... i felt really relaxed when i woke up. and then i ended up sketching this later that day.
3. this ones a bit old but i'll post it anyway. my sisters friend.
4. my first try at illustrator! i'm happy with the result.
5. part of a book cover i had to do for a school assignment.
6. another one for school, but this time just a quick sketch. we had to come up with a funky watch design and display.. this was just a little idea i didnt end up using and forgot about til now, a braces watch that goes into a display mouth! and the display head can look all nice and nerdy, of course. i'm allowed to make fun of braces because i have them
7. and last, a wip that i TOTALLY forgot about until right now! i'll hopefully get back to this one sometime soon.
that's all for now, i'll update with some actual new stuff someday, i'm enjoying my tiny bit of nothingness time now that schools done, and spending it doing... nothing. but it's back to work tomorrow...

I actually disagree with this. There is nothing wrong with working from reference, and honestly there are a LOT of artists who would benefit from looking at reference more often. Can it be a crutch? Certainly, but it far from only useful for studying. Some good stuff. I quite like the environments. While taking up references for figures and faces is good for studying, you should do a lot more straight from your imagination. It keeps you from getting attached to refs and allows you more creative freedom in the long-run. Again, good stuff.
I think your work seems tremendous for your age. You've got a grasp on the fundamentals that even many adult artists lack. Your figures are stunning for a first year (and I've seen many graduates with far worse skills).
I like the swiming with mantas, are you going to turn it into a painting?
keep it up.
hmm i wasnt going to, i never really considered it... but now that you've put the idea in my head it may pop up again in the future!
little sketchie thing for CHOW
better than I was at 19, go for it love! Your stuff is excellent and it will only to continue to develop the more you practice.
sketch from today. not too exciting.

Well I haven't posted in almost a month, mostly because I havent really made anything to post in the past month. But I finally seem to be back in the swing of things, so here's a painting and a quick little doodle (10 minutes-ish?) from last night.
