Confection #2 - Evolution`s Misfits. ~open to all~
Hello boys and girls.
This here challenge is a nice and fun designing exercise I had the pleasure of running for quite a while now at another CG forum.
The rules are simple enough, and the possibilities are Endless (well, no. not really, but the possibilities are quite vast...)
in a nutshell -
We give you 2 animals - you combine them into 1. you got about a week.
sounds easy, right? well, yeah. if you go the tomato route.
but keeping it unique and somewhat fresh is harder than one might think.
anyone who feel like giving it a go - is more than welcomed.
come the deadline - a public poll will determine our winner.
confection #2 :
deadline : Mar 6th, Thursday.
that`s it basically. if the response is good, we`ll do another one.
good luck ppl,

Hello, Chuck,Mate. Like the posters before me, I'm too busy to participate in this activity right now, but I want to say that this is a great idea for an activity. I'll definitely try my hand at it in the future. I'm also a mentor in creature design, so I'll encourage my students to participate as well.

are we blending a specific class of the species, or just taking generic traits?

Ok. I'll try.
This guy's actually known as a Skölarg (Sköldpadda + Varg) since he's usually found in the waters by the West Coast of Sweden. He thinks like a wolf but works like a turtle, mostly. He usually keeps his nose over water since he's not very well designed for diving. Still he has greater lung capacity than a wolf. Since he can't eat rabits or sheep because he's to slow when on land he'll have to do with herring and shrimps.

Hey Chuck,mate- try not to get too down, you just started this weekly challenge and it might just be a bad time for people to attempt it. I'm sorry I couldn't get an entry into the last contest, I'd have liked to, but life gets in the way! (And overtime, lots and lots of overtime....)
Anyway, here is my entry:
Thanks for posting this little challenge, very quirky ideas!
