your drawings have fantastic character and energy,
keep it up!
Nice angler, even included the pathetic male! Apparently they can get covered in males, I'm still debating as to whether I envy that simplistic life or not.
I know what you mean about water colours, the few times I've tried I definitely cannot use just the watercolours alone without mixing in pens and such. Its the complete opposite of oils where you go from dark to light, to get my head around working from light to dark was harder than I thought for me.
That last image....going to be following it up? I think I can see bamboo shoots there, but that's about it.
Lion studies from Google, trying to get something for the "lion on a horse" image.
Also yeah I forgot, for some reason this site wanted to interview me for their artist interview section: http://www.somethingwelike.com/inspi...-miisa-lopperi
Yay? It boggles me. Then again the art quality on that site is kinda…. yeah so I guess I fit right in there with my art :I
But my magical past and questionable advice is now open for everyone.
I'll use that environment on a different place, but that specific image won't be taken further.
The about finished Ars Goetia thing. I still have couple days time to sit on it so I'll sleep over night and probably tweak it a little.
A lion on a hoverhorse.
Oh yeah and the inks. They look much better without my colours.

Thumbs for a six pager about that octopus.
Scientific approach (= chart) for me to figure out why I hate drawing.
I talked with my friend of my having a hate-hate relationship with drawing and I’ve been trying to be all scientific to get to the root of my problems with drawing. Thus far I’ve deduced that it’s not drawing that I dislike so much, but the predictable result of crap is what is sucking the niceness from drawing stuff. Kinda like throwing up every time you ate a cookie. Or beef jerky. Whatever you like to eat.
I still haven’t got much closer to figuring out exactly why I’m so ashamed of some of the stuff I draw (like… fanart) but I think it may have something to do with me perceiving some things more shameful than others based on what I think outsiders may perceive to be to be wrong or stupid when in reality I base these expectations on what I unconsciously see silly, stupid or wrong. More introspective navel-gazing is needed.
Love your style and colors! Your sense of humor is pretty damn hilarious too! Maybe you hate your drawings because you expect much better from yourself? And with the fanart thing, I think you may be right because I know a bunch of people who hate on fanart, but make fanart... and hate themselves for it... lol

Brrr, trying to get into Blender again... I tried it once before, went "jesus christ" and removed the program. So now I'm giving it a go and maybe it's because all my past 3D stuff has been done with 3DsMax but Blender seems to mind-bogglingly backwards and counter intuitive that, seriously, what the hell. And none of the tutorials actually show how you can choose just the plane, without needing to select all the vertices. If there's no way to do that, then what the hell, who designs something like that?!
Another ink wash for a pal's character...
And a "sea monk", or in common, "what medieval people thought octopodes were".
