    ~ Portfolio ~

Just looking for some feedback here... you may notice this portfolio is lacking in environments. I don't know what's wrong with me, creating an environment for some reason just doesn't give me the same satisfaction as say figure drawing. probably because i'm bad at them...

There's a couple of things in here done for CHOW and COW as well.

Anyway, put me through the ringer, let me know what you think.

    and finally, some random lady

    Thanks for looking!

You have some promising stuff. I think your best character sketch is the female with the glowing blue helmet. That's pretty sweet...and a good stance.

For environments, start sketching small thumbnails for composition. We all struggle with finding that one dynamic setting that really catches the eye. Take environment photographs from nature and duplicate those into paintings. Just eye-drop the natural colors you see in them and create your own scene. Trust me it helps A LOT. Right now your stuff looks like cut & paste against a background. Get those natural tones in there and it will make a world of difference.

Thanks for the idea RoboBobo, never thought of that...

Also, please don't be shy or think that your comments won't be useful or whatever. I'm kind of stuck in a rut and I need a good kick in the ass to get myself to the next level artistically.

Or maybe I'm just used to faster forums and I'm being impatient.
