Really really enjoy your stuff man. Some great inspiration. It's great to hear from another self taught artist as well, and to see that you're making some bad ass stuff.

So i might do one more in this series i think, some kind of chick mage or something, not to sure, but i did a quick sketch to throw some ideas around, also to test lighting skills, so I threw 3 different light sources in this scene, a back rim light, a heavy bottom light, and reflected diffused light from slightly on top and in front of her.

    Hi Cole,
Thanks for the comment in my sketchbook. You mentioned that you're self taught, I was wondering, and this is most likely a pretty hard question to answer, what were your main sources of instruction and help to get you where you are today. You're an amazing artist and any answer would be greatly appreciated.

Alrighty, im just about done with both of the Dauthus Brothers. I call my concepts really gay things like fatguy and deathbringer before coming up with the actual names for them. So now fatguy is Fahton Deefoul. And the other is Dauthus Briggan.....which is basically the latin gothic translation for Death Bringer lol. The other one stands for fat devil. Gooooo Latin for cool sounding names eh?

lol, there we go, also if anyones interested in how to create this effect its quite simple.

Take a loose lasso tool, try to make some really tiny selections. and then I hit crtl+backspace which will fill the area in with your secondary color, for this i used a saturated red orange. and then I just take a little bit of airbrush of orange over each little dot, and then a airbrush set to color dodge with a saturated yellow orange and thats it.
