shardana - thanks and yeah give those pencils a throw
    collin6099 - thanks!
bombchu - It kinda a re-write of the prodigel son and the fat dude isnt part of it he was just a page filler and thats suppose to be a fork. For the book I have to do 3 bw illos and a colour cover.
bigfooTrooper - yeah feel bad about the amount of paper i use for studies so i draw on the back of printed paper.
DigitallyDumbfounded - thanks for the crits and the cheers! as for the leg stuff its Kevin Chen - very helpful stuff but you gotta kinda look for the info yourself as he just posts the pages he used for class demos:

http://www.angelfire.com/art3/kchendemos/ (more cool stuff on this site so check around)

    hope these help!

some studies, mr2 - Bon Clay - fanart sorta thing from Onepiece and pages from the last 2 kiddy books I did.

As usual, some very productive posts. D I hope you will continue with your gestures and structural studies-- They're really great and you're coming along swimmingly. The small paintings are great too! My favourite is the leopard/cheetah in the field. Keep up the great work!

Hihi Kidult! Thanks again for coming and gazing at all my glory. hehe.. I love your new update! Hee, yay for alien thingie, and the lovely ladies of which you study from. And nice colour study too! ^_^ My only suggestion, as mere as it is, coming from an amateur such as myself towards someone with such sheer amazingness in talent as yourself, is that you should practice your hands. Draw a hand everyday, I say. Hands are so tough, I find it really helps to just draw 'em.. One everyday at the very least. 'Cause at least you're getting -some- in. And what better thing to draw than your hand, which you carry with you everyday?

Yo dude thanks for dropping by my sketchbook! Good to see another South African on here. I don't live there anymore, was born and raised in Pretoria though, miss the hell out of my friends and family. I've been living in the States for about 10 years now but I still enjoy evoking my fondest of memories while living there.

Anyways, going on a tangent there. All in all, love your work. Really like your portraits and enviro work. However, I must say, your paintings, though accurate and well captured, are a little muddy and could using more refining. Perhaps you like it that way, maybe its the style you were going for but I thought I'd put that out there.

Very cool anatomy studies, love the Bridgman. Keep them coming!

BTW, where in South Africa is Emonti located?

Well your sketchbook definitely makes me feel the need to practice more. Excellent studies...and so many of them! I admire your tenacity when it comes to practicing...think about trying some Posemaniacs and pushing your line technique. Sweet stuff. Thanks for stopping by my Sb!

HEy man thanks for dropping by in my thread! You sure are churning the studies out man! good work! I see that me and you have similar problems with faces. Drawing what we think it should look like rather than what we see. I'm trying to rectify the problem by doing loads of cafe sketching but it doesn't seem to be helping... Damn heads!

Awesome sb you have here! I've looked through all the pages and it's clear you've put in a lot of work since you've started. My one crit is that the figures aren't particularly strong yet, but it looks like your working pretty hard in that area. Thanks for dropping by my sb and keep up the hard work!

great SB kidult! Just went through the whole thing, and I can see a lot of progression! One thing you should work on is your planes.. spend more time working out the values for all your planes.. it doesn't matter if you're painting the sky,or drawing some hands.. the planes are very important to suggest the form.

What you're doing is to get the 'right value and color' and just splash it on.. you'll get more awesome by working more on your forms
