    Back from the dead

    7-24-08

    Hey all!

I'm really busy/internet lazy so I am sorry I haven't been responding or browsing any threads (much less updating this one) I am in the middle of moving down to Austin Texas for a job in the games industry. Here is what I have been working on in the mean time, some art, and some more small talk. Thanks for dropping in everybody. I hope you like what you find here!!

    DIMAGYAN
:Yeah I LOVE Alberto Breccia. I can't seem to find any of his books in english though/in a comic store in the US.
Lake: Hey man, thanks. The rendering is a little spotty. I am working on my finished quality. The thesis ended up being a huge map drawing of a world I invented and then some fantasy oriented Illustrations. Hope everything is good for you on the west coast.
ajvenema: Thanks, I do love the brush pen. I like the way it responds to the way you draw. It gives a lot back.
Gilles: Gracias, I am glad you like the characters. I've been spending more time on them than usual.
UnSharpened: Thanks a lot. I am glad I am inspiring somebody
    Dian3: Thanks, the blog.
csteingart: Thanks, I do love to paint enviroments.

    Werd,
    -Tamte

KatzenminzeThanks man, I promise there will be more pencil stuff in here in the...future. I have got to find a way to get my sketchbook stuff onto my computer

This is another piece I hve been working up in my freetime, Once I get my hands on a scanner I will be able to get some of the traditional stuff I am doing up here. Work has kept me pretty busy, so forgive me If I am posting sluggishly. sorry! I don't know if anybody from Austin is reading this, but I would love to hear if anybody knows where I can do some figure drawing or sketch-grouping. Let me know, thanks

hey man, this ones lookin good, is that blood or some other liquid? Looks like youve set up the possibilites to play different textures against each other. Like shiny liquid, rough stone, coarse wool or smooth silk, and then leathery skin. I dunno, i personally probably wouldn't know how to take the bast advantage of that setup, but its a thought.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for the support, it's been encouraging. Mclean, I think you are definitely onto something there. I will try to be more aware of how I paint textures next to each other in the future.

Here is some more sketching. Any feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks for dropping in.

    An Update

    10-13-08

    whew, been busy

I have moved down to Austin Texas, post Ringling to pursue a job in games. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL TOWN!! I've been fortunate enough to do some work with the super talented dudes over at Bioware, but now I am employed by Midway working on some fun stuff there (...or "here" I mean). Anyway, I am working up some comic stuff in my own time, and doing some writing. As I work and develop that inkier stuff I'll post it up here for ya'll to check out as it progresses.

Thanks for stopping in guys and saying hey, always good to have some old fashioned human interaction!

    all the best,
    -Tamte

Whoa nice! I'm really enjoying your sketchbook pages.. the inks especially feel so spontaneous and natural. Those most recent digital sketches have something going on too! Love the girl on the pig.

    Hello,
I drop by to give a little critic concerning your first two enviro colored version on this page
for the first one indeed the perspective got mistakes concerning the ground near the truck, it seems like there is quite a big slope here, maybe you should draw lines when you construct your drawing to prevent such mistake.
I think there is a problem of "deph" between the foreground and middleground, work on shadows and lights in the foreground and it can be solved.
Those two enviros are well inspired though, i 'd like to see some more.

I see Ringling is a amazin school, I cant wait to get there, I want to be surrounded by people like you, AMAZING ARTIST, but right now Iam just concentrating on gettin there, and just by looking at your artwork it just makes me want to try a bit harder. I love your digital artwork bro (I hope your not a girl, if you are Iam sorry ), its so RAW, fresh, before you came to Ringling did you already know how to use Photoshop, or have you just learnt within the years youve been there ?

Look, Iam diet drama, want to spend tha night dont bring pajamas, man there's so much heat beneath clothes, you see me !

JesArt Sketchbook, go have a gander..
