Jedininjaman : Thanks, sure I will. I'm actually have several ideas that I have to work out.
Bojee : Hey thanks! You are totally right about giving names and personality to the characters. The point is that I suck at english, so I am frightened to write some stuff totally common and... you see? It is much easier to me to do that in my own language, and I actually do it, but I don't know if it's works in english... But the problem is on the up-and-up (especially thanks to practice and read in english on CA.org! ), I hope so. And I'll really work that point. ^^ And no, I didn't experimented collage yet, maybe soon! Thanks for your crit too, and I'm glad you came back! Cheers!
Bhanu : Suitcase suitcase, magical suitcase, give me colors to my brush! I totally understand you, that flowered suitcase is my biggest childhood treasure, and it the most beautiful suitcase the world had ever knew! Haha, thanks! ^^
Sketch : Thanks dude! I'm not satisfied with her expression, the sketch was better to my mind, but... deadlines... If I get some more time to fix it up I'll try to change it. Cheers!
Crazy3dman : Thank you! Yes I do, I'm sending my finished project to each publisher I can find, and I'm thinking about the next one, waiting the reading commissions, etc... CROSS YOUR FINGEEERS !!
    Kupocake : Thanks! ^^
Flaskpost : Hey man, thank you!
Bouroune : Merci! (Hop! mode français) C'est sympa, pour les photos n'hésite pas à en copier si elles peuvent te servir. ^^ Tchuss!
    Poshspice : WOOOHOO !!!! Thank you I'm honored ! ^^

Let's go : DSG (gothic woman with living hair), skeches for my first entry at the CHOW (little mermaid) I'm so nervous! xD Crits are really welcome!
And a character sketch for me... a mini tribal warrior. not finished.
And something I did once for Hannes, never posted it there so...
And to end, I'm in a reaaally good mood because I move in few days, and I have photos of our lovely new place, Gaaaah, so happy.

dude, you got some serious mignone-ness goin on here. love your color work, and your ability to tell a story. g'luck with the move, the walls are awesome colors!

about your mermaid piece, its crAzY cute, but i'm not sure it falls in line with the narrative of the story. your mermaid seems caught up in light things, whereas the tone of the original book (as the wikipedia entry describes) is a bunch more serious. awesome character, a good starting point, but i don't think it fits the necessary character description. i hope this helps. bonne chance, dude!

Oh my Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood this is so good, so good! "These legs could be yours", hahaaaaa oh my dear I think you just killed me Too awesome.
Hmm I don#t really know if this needs any further work, stylistically it works perfectly (does my grammar make any sense? D: ) but you could still go and experiment with it and create like three other variations and then pick the one you like the most!

    Hug!

I too love the mermaid. Maybe her nipple could be moved a bit more to the outside. It would make the breast look a bit more lively. I know it's not meant to be big but at the moment it's looks flat because the nipple is right in the center. However all this is nitpicking as the illustration is great already.

for improvement on the mermaid - i suggest,

nipple needs to go out a little (as already mentioned)

the book seems a bit square, not having any life to it

the line work at the end of the tail seem to lack a bit of your usual flair

    love it though!

Hey clochette, It's been a while since i post my last comment.
Nice to see that you 're still good with a pencil.
Love those mermaids, they looks good.
Just a question, In the first pic, that's behind the door (the door behind the blue pillar) because it look very tiny.

Beautiful work as always. Love the mermaid and I agree about the tail not having your usual flair. I think the tail is where you could really nuts with your style. Also what about trying some thick linework with your soft colours? Might come up with something new... but you don't really need anything new.

Hybrid 75 : Thank you so much !
Purb36 : Thanks! We have chosen the colors of the walls, glad you like it! You're right about the mermaid... But in the story she is 15 years old, I wanted to show her like a naive young person, she believes that the earth world is the better place for her, she dreams about human attributes... But I didn't shown it as I wanted to... :/ I've tried to do better in her human concept... Maybe the contrast can still work : she was a young and foolish little mermaid and being a maiden was a true deception to her... Oh, well, I've really enjoyed doing it, I suppose this is the essential! ^^ Thanks for your good advice by the way!
Hannes : Thaaaanks! Your grammar can't be worst than mine dude! xD Humm about the mermaid... this chow is a double one, we have to do TWO designs! XD So we can't really consider that my work is over Hugs!
Idle : Yeah thank you a lot, I've changed it, hope it is better!
Bhanu : Thank you ! Sweet as saccharine... Thanks!
    f1guremeout : Thank you!
JonasK : Thanks Jonas. It was a quicky one, the eye is upper and several other stuff... But thanks!
Pandahund : Hehe thanks, much appreciate!
Ditchman : Thank you very much, it really helps! ^^
Spooky : Hey! De retour! J'ai vu que tu es parti à la martinique, veinard! ^^ Merci pour le commentaire. J'ai pas vraiment compris la question, en fait sur celle là j'essayais des variations jambes / nageoire... Merci, à plus! ^^
Petitemistress : Oh thanks for the kind words and stars! Yeah I'm in Lyon, near, not in the city. Urban life has bored me! Good luck!
Quinn : Thanks! Nice to see ya! Cheers!
Sketch : Nice idea! Oh I definitely need to experiment new stuff! The tail doesn't really satisfying me, but I'll try to fix it if the deadline is ok... I'd like to try a coop with you, you just gave me the idea! Thanks for all!

Yay ! Thanks everyone for support and help! That's great ! Each evening I post something, the next morning I feel like a child on the Christmas morning ! So exciting to have feed back on my work, and to share with you all!

Here 's a finished (or almost) sea version of my mermaid, and a wip of the human version.
I still have to mix them in one single pic, I don't actually know how to do that, but, we'll see when the time will come !
Tell me what you think guys!

niiiiiiice. good contrast (the frivolous vs. the disappointed). i really like it. did you think about giving her the same boots as in the mag, as if yeah, she got what she wanted, but it wasn't as good as she thought it would be? anyway, hope you had fun; g'luck in the voting! what did you learn from the chow? peace!

Beautiful... like everyone said, nice contrast between the two pics. The perspective looks a bit off on the second one but I'm the last person that should crit on that subject. Love your style.
