This was a project just to try and work on lighting and stuff. But this will be turned into a little character. the detail is pretty basic as my skills arn't great.
Character Name : Brian Caris
Hero Name : Painless
Armour? The armour is part of an experiment where the armour is planted under the users skin and when activated sprouts out of the skill. This was implanted into Brian without his consent (long story) He has a condition where he can't feel pain (this is why he was selected for the experiment) The armour is of alien origin and has many traits and abilities.
Ganna try and do some dynamic poses or the armour in action.
With illustration, even though this is obviously a quick piece, try to keep line attenuation in mind. That is, thick to thin. For example, on the left shoulder piece, the curve that describes it should be thicker in the middle than at the ends. Again, I know it's more difficult to do digitally, but it's an important technique that gives your character depth.

I agree with clayman for your armor design, but you have such good line work in your little action image you posted. the concept is neat and a little twisted. T think you just need to apply those drawing principles of line quality to your other work and it will help boost your images 10 fold.
