Lasso tool crash?
My Lasso tool works fine, however sometimes, when using my tablet, if i accedently just "click" with it, instead of drawing a line (its the freehand lasso) Painter will on a random basis (not affected by image size, res or detail) crash completely.
are anybody else experiencing this?

Yes, this is a known problem in Painter X and Painter X.1.
I tested it in Painter X in April 2007 and again in Painter X.1 in August 2007, then again this morning in Painter X.1. While it took a few tries, clicking outside an active selection with the Lasso tool made both Painter X and Painter X.1 crash.
Never click outside an active selection with the Lasso tool.
If you want to deselect, use Ctrl+D (Windows) or Command+D (Mac) or use Select menu > None.
You might want to read the thread at CGTalk's Corel Painter forum about this problem, in which I posted the results of my testing in Painter X and in Painter X.1:
Painter x crash...

Some of these bugs in Painter make me think of Gremlins and Ghostbusters?
"Don't Cross the streams" is like Selecting outside the selection in Painter.
"Don't get your Mogwaii wet" is like using Impasto settings with certain brush methods because they don't mix.
"Don't feed him after midnight" is like overflowing your custom libraries (papers, patterns, etc...)
