    c&C quest

First let me say I'm floored by the quality in general of CA community and its art production. I want some Critiques on my roughs, but not in order to replicate along traditional lines. I will never be a professional artist, even though I value art above all other effort.

I do art (acrylics, pen, pencil, guitar) as drug not as carrier. I'll never have the patients to replicate the human form in any detail, nor will I sit for hours drawing a single body part. There just isn't time to go back and start over. Hell, I don't even like using erasers

What I would like is C&C based on your new knowledge that I just want to improve, but I don't see how to get better. Here is my sketchbook

These drawings are mainly 10 minute or less affairs with an 8b pencil on stationary type paper. Aside from the messy nature of my mind and work, what are some key pointers for me to focus on.

    TIA

First scan - Oh don't just scribble for the sea part, it will be better if you find some photos of the sea and get its light/dark part right instead. Hm the lighting seem to be all wrong. To fix that, define a clear light source and stick to it.

This is from another forum quote:
if i may, a tip about how to get used to a sense of where the light comes from is to always shade everything in the same direction, at least in cases in which it's okay to determine the light source yourself

OK thanks. I take it ur talking about one of the cliff/sea scapes. I was showing someone how to make cliffs.

I'll look at the lighting and make better waves
