something that is really key in idiot apathy's work is he has such good control of his values. Value is worth like 2/3 of the colors you end up choosing.
I dunno if you've seen the peer project yet, but I think it might help you a bit to do some of the exercises

    http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=76955

aside from his sexy values and colors, he uses lots of layers. He's a layererererer! ererer!

I'd like to see some long studies from you to see how much you can push yourself to get a finished product

    cheers!

See if you had the My Little Pony into a unicorn, then she could blink away from the evil Spore monster..

I'm afraid I don't have any deep or insightful crits to give you; I think the practice you're doing is great and this sketchbook is a record of your progress. I think your sense of anatomy has really deepened, and your digital works are coming along great as well, in such a short amount of time too. I especially like the img of the volkswagen in the top right of your last post. So keep it up and keep us posted

    hey there!
whoa whats up in here?away for half a year and you bring in THIS?!
    excellent progress man!
the latest updates definately show a very, very good progression, i really like many of these, both drawing and color wise. The colors look a bit weird too me, all very light...maybe try non-white backgrounds, or some planned out bg for you character/creature/vehicles, so that you can bring in the background colors in the figure (main light, fill light, all that poop)

excellent work man, don't slow down now!

    ciao

Gnoll: Thanks mister, nice to hear someone thinks some progress has been made . i agree that i should work with the values of my colour so i try to make little more of those images with BG than OC.

Anyway this is my DSG entry, i shouldn't have pushed myself like this because this picture was so hard that it actually almost broke my drawing spirit. Damn, why does subjects you never draw have to be so hard... (DSG 1409: Sci-Fi • SPACESUITED ALIEN XENOLOGIST DISCOVERS A FOSSILIZED HUMAN SKULL)

In the 2nd img in post #74, I think the colors look just great. The only thing that looks oversaturated to me is the shadow, which should obviously be much more neutralized since it's a shadow. It also looks a bit strange because you don't have green anywhere else in the img, and your shadows should be falling back to the general color of the background. You have a warm brown color happening in the bottom left of the shadow that I think is really nice; if you just painted over the shadow with that color at about 30% opacity, I think that would really bring the img together for you.

I really like the last img you've added; I think it has a great composition and I love the yellow and blue palette. My only crit is that the orange foliage in the foreground seems a bit overbearing to me atm and it's covering up parts of the figure. I would suggest cutting out the big flowering bit and just leave it as puffy stalks of grass like in the section just to the left of the figure's foot.

    Great work, keep it up

Well i have been travelling around the globe and had not have too much time to draw so there is this only one lousy piece which is my first failure for a long time, so i tried to save it by making it black and white old picture (which i can do since it is for the gentlemans drawing club).

very cool sketchbook, dude. you're showing great improvement especially colorwise. the rendering is definately getting better as well and you got some crazy twisted ideas .
what I'd recommend is just trying yourself on really finished pieces once in a while. they really help best at seeing yourself what your weaknesses are.
    good work, keep sharing!

Wickededges: Right now im studying as a exchange student in netherlands, nhl university. Place is ok, but better is that ican draw every day at school.
Monotony: thanks man, i will try to come up with a really interesting idea so i will have to finish it completely
Radon: thanks for visiting, shall keep up trucking
Shalite: Thanks, i like that one too
Kingkostas: You know, most innocent compliment can be the most brutal critique you have ever received. Your comment about age almost gave me an artcrisis, i mean i am 25 and i feel i am right back at the DA which is really, really depressing if true. Thanks anyway for the visit, your critique about anatomy is right, still my achilles knee. I will try to come anyway out from this pit of senseless selfpity.

New work, i call him GROOVY ROBOT! (althought there is nothing groovy about him.
