    darthneko's dribbles and drawbles

Hello all! I've been lurking here for ages just admiring everyone's mad talent, but the new years resolutions include "draw more!" so I'm going to take the plunge and put my stuff out here in the hopes that it'll encourage me to keep pushing ahead. I've been stuck in a rut for way too long and I'm hoping to break out of it and try some new things.

Pencil sketches and one attempt at coloring; I'm brand new to using Photoshop CS (I've been happily using 5.5 for years, but the new Macbook will only take CS or higher) and my install disks for Painter are in a box somewhere, so I'm sort of struggling with it right now. Mostly CS doesn't want to change pen size via tablet pressure which is probably going to drive me batty until I figure out how to fix it. I'll try more colored stuff when I get it sorted out a little better.

More later! Thank you for looking.

    cool stuff

you got kewl characters there. did you use reference?

regarding photoshop, maybe you are missing the driver for your tablet? or maybe the specific brush you are using has no 'pen pressure' enabled under 'shape dynamics -> size jitter' ? apart from that you definitely need to make a shortcut for increase/decrease brush size --> very handy if you are using custom brushes.

    good stuff post more

nice drawings, clean lines and a solid grasp of human form. A little dry, though, could use some spontaniaety.
