Somebody has seen the Harry Potter movies.. heh heh. Thanks for popping in and giving me a crit. In turn, I'd have to say that your work is comming along nicely and your color & lighting are certainly your strong points. I'd suggest that you keep at it with the figure drawing and try to place more emphasis on the structure of the subject that you draw. If you define the structure and shapes more and focus on planes. It might help to lend more weight to the subject matter and only enhance your color skills.

    Good stuff, Keep posting.

BADSMILE- that is good to hear. I am in a Lovecraft art club over at DA right now. I also like Assiac Asimov and Arthur C Clark.

    My latest Lovecraft piece.

"There flapped rhythmically a horde of tame, trained, hybrid winged things... not altogether crows, nor moles, nor buzzards, nor ants, nor decomposed human beings, but something I cannot and must not recall."

Haha thanks I guess I should visit my SB more.

Also thanks to everyone's else nice comments.

Here is some of my latest work. The first one of all the characters were some studies for the final of my Illustration class, the second is the final out come, self portrait was done with three inks and a bamboo brush, after that had to do a design inspired from music for my Basic Design class so I did a character design from the sound track of the orginal Silent Hill, did some portrait practice (duke Leto Atradies)and the last one was a portrait practice as well but decided to turn it into a composition (Arch Angel Gabriel from the Prophesy).

This was something that was suppose to be my final for my Basic Design class last fall semester. The assignment was to do a design based on interpreting music. I was allowed to do a character design and work from some Silent Hill sound tracks. This is what I came up with but I liked it so I pushed it into a composition.

Well this will be my last semester full time a Fullerton College for next fall as long as everything goes correctly I will be attending Cal State Fullerton. This semester however I am taking my independent art study class and the project that I am working for it is pretty darn epic. What I have to produce is 6-7 fully rendered creature/character concepts and then do 2 to 3 interpretation illustrations from the book Dream Quest to Unknown Kadath by H.P. Lovecraft. In addition to this I have four other classes so all this spring I will have almost no social life. Down below are some of the creature concept sketches that I have done so far so any feedback on them would be grand.
